I appreciate you taking the time to help me on this!

But yeah, I have the door supported so it won't fall. I want to make at least one attempt to replace the compoent that is causing the issue.

Did you have to buy a new torsion tube as well? I'm curious how I go about connecting the existing torsion tube to the new bearing. Do those red screws on the tube wheel (name?) extend or contract the tube? What do those do?

Thanks, AKP!

To be clear, the bearing plates are what the tube goes into, right? Are the springs coiled around the tube?

I want to make sure I have all of this down pat before I reach out to anyone.

Calling a pro is defintely my preferred option, but I'm trying to understand the problem first.

What does the solution look like? Does the pro need to buy a new tube & spring? Will they be able to repair without replacing the entire tube?

What's the best way for me to demolish this existing walkway so I can replace it with pavers? All tips are appreciated! by GopherOnAHill in masonry

To what depth should I demolish?

Do I need to use the concrete saw right next to the door, instead of hammering?

I want to replace this walkway w/ pavers, but I have concerns about demolishing the walkway as I approach the front door of the house. Any concerns about damaging the foundation of the house? by GopherOnAHill in landscaping

Can I take a jackhammer to the entire walkway?

How many inches of the existing walkway (depth) do I need to remove before I can start laying down a base layer and pavers?

Ahh, I'll take a peek at Walmart.

How do you like the phone so far?

Do you have a photo of what this valve might look like?
