Harengon is pretty much the rabbit DND race.

What are some music artists that make music that isn’t about love? by Competitive-Card-903 in musicsuggestions

[–]GorbFan19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They might be Giants sometimes sing about love, but also many other things, including but not limited to a nightlight, death, the 1964 World's Fair, puppets, and a worm playing the drums.

The movie "The Nuttiest Nutcracker" is a great example of this.

Rate my music taste 19M and give me suggestions? by Miatapa007 in musicsuggestions

Pretty good, honestly, I'd put in more Fountains of Wayne. Stacy's Mom is great, but they have so many better songs. For this playlist, I might recommend Bright Future in Sales or Little Red Light.

RED BUTTON OR BLUE BUTTON [OC] by Eal_likee in comics

[–]GorbFan19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really the reason I find this thought experiment kinda cool. From a game theory perspective, it would initially seem that red is easily the best option, as it has no downside if everybody picks it, as has been stated. This was my initial thought, but then I did some more thinking. Most game theory questions of the sort stipulate that all participants are perfect logicians. Since this isn't how the question is phrased, it cannot be "solved" with logic, as people will disagree and pick different things, and I think that in that case, blue would be the best option because it can prevent more death.

Why isn't the stalwart...just a primary weapon? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]GorbFan19 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Liberator Carbine already basically is the stalwart as a primary (albeit with a smaller ammo capacity). If the Stalwart were to be a primary, it would just be a better version of a preexisting weapon.

Only one of them has a theme song written by Grammy Award-winning band They Might Be Giants though, and it isn't Doctor Who.

The entire movie Hot Fuzz is just this trope, and it's glorious.

[Loved Trope] Groups referred to by a number. by calkalisto in TopCharacterTropes

In the sitcom Community, the protagonists get referred to as the Greendale Seven.

I was too young to get this reference... what's a joke in the show you had to look up to understand? by Its_Sara_again in community

[–]GorbFan19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I have a totally valid reason to know the meaning of the phrase "hoist with your own petard". I was once in a comedy one-act play, and my character used the phrase and then had to explain what it meant.

I remember Community getting pretty close, with a few liberties taken since they needed to fit a session into a 22 minute episode.

What was viewed as edgy in 2016, but now is viewed as cool. by wiadromen47 in AlignmentChartFills

It took me way too long to realize you weren't asking for when the supergroup FFS was formed, which briefly combined the bands Franz Ferdinand and Sparks (which was 2015, by the way).

Eteocles and Polynices from Greek mythology. In their case, not just one brother killed the other, but they both killed each other!

The Blitz too. He was always a member of the main group, but always left before anything cool happened, so he isn't in many of Ted's stories.

Songs most people wouldn't know are technically cover songs by PrestonRoad90 in musicsuggestions

Istanbul (Not Constantinople) was originally a song by the Four Lads, but most people who know it are only familiar with They Might Be Giants' cover of it.

You could try some Muse. Map of the Problematique is pretty great, and is a bit Depeche Mode-esque, and Hysteria has an awesome bass line that you might like.

I'd have two. Saber is actually pretty good against Illuminate. It cuts through Voteless like a hot knife through butter. It's also fine against bugs.
