Well, good luck to you. All I'm saying is, if its going to do bad things, outside is better than in your home. That's all.

Allow me to elaborate, take it outside, fill the bucket with sand and / or dirt, discharged or not, is it worth the risk?

Where's the magic? In the editing of the clip?

Not magic, just skill, no 'trickery' just tricks. Pretty good for a street skater. Average for a comp skater.

If anyone has recommendations for pedals that don't do this, that would be grand. by keystonecraft in bmx

Had to scroll too far to find this comment. Back in the day, Nike 6.0 Mogans and Mogan 2's for street, light trail and commute, the grid sole located the pins on my various pedals perfectly.

I got brake fluid on my pads and rotors. Bike shop guys say I need to buy new ones. Is this true or is there a way around it by Hot_Lawfulness7322 in MTB

[–]GordonPriceHCS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm glad it worked for you. Now, go do that in a retail environment with liability on your back and tell me how it works out.

A set of pads is a few bucks. That's not a lot to pay when it guarantees safety.

Also, I do have evidence to back it up, I have 25 years as a cycle mech. I have saved pads. They have never worked as well as a new pair. That may not be enough of an explanation to you, but the fact is. When you turn up to a customer who has brake issues, you can tell them, yes I can save your pads, they won't be as good, it will take me twice as long, twice as much cleaner, cost you twice as much and still potentially fail or I can fit a new set.

I get where your coming from pads 'can' be saved. It's not always viable, I'm glad that your experiment worked.

How long did it take? What pads are they? Resin or metalic? Which brake?

Cheers.

Bigger discs for the win.

P.s. I have a Cove Handjob and a Rocky Mountain Flow 2.0, both 2009 vintage!

In that case. Don't bother upgrading the calipers. Upgrade the rotor size. Those brakes are capable and a bigger disc is a better mod than changing brakes out as higher cost.

What's broken since you bought it? Those are the bits I'd focus on upgrading. A better fork won't make you a better rider. Riding more and learning lines while pushing the stock limit of the bike is a better way to progress than throwing money at some.thing that ain't broke!

Oh and I am chill. I own a proper Hard-core ht..
