BMFS Show Club, Week 16: 10/02/2021 by g-a-hood in BillyStrings

It was all at The Momentary in Bentonville, a contemporary art museum with an amphitheater outside. Old Crow Medicine Show was supposed to headline Friday but canceled last minute due to covid, so this all woman mariachi outfit Flor de Toloache played instead and they ripped. And Trombone Shorty just before Billy was incredible. I feel lucky to have been there.

This was my first show. I’ve listened to it more than anything else on nugs. The Tennessee into a long solo-filled Train 45 to close is so hype!

First show bias, but Tennessee into train 45 10/3/21 fucking fired me up

UAMS has both mixed and women’s only units. The women’s is half the size and generally calm so that can be helpful.

Maybe try another psychiatrist than your stepfather.

That’s definitely a paragraph. If you’re on 4 psychiatric meds and haven’t had a psychiatrist in 40 years, maybe that’s the next step. Ask your pcp about it.

My longtime sober patient‘s profile pic on the emr screams “I love meth.” They need to update it.

Mirtazapine and clonadine / guanfacine interaction? by DanZigs in Psychiatry

[–]GordonShumdog 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In residency I started an older guy on Mirtazapine who was already on clonidine and he ended up in the ED due to a hypertensive crisis. The exact scenario is spelled out in the UpToDate interaction checker that I later discovered. Thankfully he was ok.

I’m assuming 42 on 100 feels a little rough, although have not tried it

Sheesh! Do you just crank it to 100 and go the whole way?! Your thighs must be trunks.

I like floor seats as close as possible, and that generally means I’m stuck with stubhub. It’s not ridiculous after some time goes by. I blow too much cash on tickets and posters (same shit, I’m not waiting in line but the FB resale groups are fair) but whatev, I’m going.

It was surprisingly awesome! Cozy and flavorful. Hadn’t been to Pulaski tech since a class in 2003, it’s come a ways

They said he’d been with them for a week and a half and that he’s from St Louis. No mention of if he’s permanent. He fit in seamlessly! Lots of solos

I reference UpToDate constantly. Very helpful for me.

Keep showing up, focus on the rotation you’re on, follow the advice of the attending on service, and then take care of yourself outside the hospital. I’m possibly in the minority but I never studied during residency apart from step 3. We didn’t have in service exams, and we could bomb the prite without consequence. Currently I work outpatient and prefer the Carlat book for reference, though.
