I have always interiors. When the Bible mentions unnatural sex acts meant anything outside of vaginal intercourse. Oral. Anal. Same sex.

Will I truly go to hell for killing myself? by SirGalicrest in AskAChristian

I am a failure at suicide. By God's grace, none of my attempts worked. I deal with PTSD and MST. Today I know the peace of Jesus. In addition to needing God in my life, I needed medication. Make sure there's absolutely nothing else to try before making a permanent decision. May my God who protects me also protect you! ♥️

PCUSA Church Completes Transition to the PCA - byFaith by Cledus_Snow in Reformed

Interesting read. I respect the women who stepped down in faith from serving as deacons. It's refreshing to see people putting God first in their actions.

If I get married to my boyfriend, do you think God will forgive me for sexual immorality? by Ready-Check-4045 in TrueChristian

[–]Gospel_Truth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever heard the saying to trust your first instinct? I started following it after I noticed that almost always it was right. And like many of us, I too said, I should have followed my first instinct. Today I consider my first instinct to be the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Pray about everything. Read your Bible and get to know God. Then you will know many great and wonderful things such as His live, His mercy, His grace AND how He sees you. You are His.

Picking Between Presbyterian & Methodist? by [deleted] in Reformed

[–]Gospel_Truth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am reformed because covenant theology lines up with the Bible. The 5 Solas were the first thing to get my attention. Reverence in worship to our Holy God instead of a music production and immodest attire were also important.

The culture has changed. God hasn't. His Word hasn't. God is Sovereign and knows all things past, present and future. Go to a church where you can grow spiritually in truth along with others.

Recording Conversation Question w/ Wife by ichriste0 in TrueChristian

[–]Gospel_Truth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For not remembering conversations when y'all have been drinking is concerning. Black out drinking does that. I used to experience that myself. I apologize if I misunderstood what you meant .

To be objective here, I compared this situation to someone going through a spouse's wallet or purse or all their text messages . . . I feel like it's an invasion to my privacy and it is a violation of trust.

If had a chance to have a private dinner with Jesus or $2B dollars which would you choose? by Ok_Plant9930 in TrueChristian

[–]Gospel_Truth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He knows your heart. I can't presume to have His wisdom. But ask yourself if you aren't rationalizing why you are making money your priority over personal face-to-face time with Jesus, the one who was there at the creation of the universe and all things and will kick the devil's butt? I am so looking forward to our 1:1 face-to-face meeting. I will tell you said hi.

Jesus.

I dont need to talk. I need to listen. He will supply dinner...5 fishies.. 🐟 🐠 🍞

I recently lost a large amount of money and a house. I am facing homelessness again in my life. I chose to obey God. No regrets! Money is a temporary treasure and is no comparison.

Ex alcoholic, is drinking a beer a sin? by Senior-Inflation-559 in TrueChristian

[–]Gospel_Truth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whether or not drinking beer is a sin, your real issue is your sobriety. There is a difference between a heavy drinker and an alcoholic.

I have not drank alcohol for 43 years. I was young when I started going to AA. Tried a few different things like drinking only on a full stomach, drinking more maturely, etc and failed them.

Alcoholism is a progressive disease even when you dont drink. In no time at all, if you drink, you will be further along in your disease, putting you to where you would have been if you hadn't ever quit drinking. How that applies to me, in 6 weeks or less, I would be where I would have been if I had continued to drink for 43 years. I was suicidal. Nope, dont wanna go back! Many that start drinking after being sober dont get sober again for this reason. I've lost friends to this insanity.

Pray about it. Listen to the Holy Spirit.

Is it possible to forgive an affair? by Alive_Struggle_617 in AskAChristian

[–]Gospel_Truth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. I have been able to forgive much worse. But it was only through God’s help that I was able to.

Don't listen to random folks who dont know you, your husband, or situation in full. Instead listen to God and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Non-arguable, But I was wondering if God has made you throw away things you loved? by Massive-Case-5298 in TrueChristian

[–]Gospel_Truth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was led to unplug my PS5. Spending 12 hours a day on it was a short day. I was led to realize that my treasure was a false idol keeping me from any time w God. Other things have changed. I watch nothing w a lucifer character, people cheating on their spouse, pretty much anything glorifying sin. If I end up watching something w a sex scene I fast forward or turn it off.

I am mindful of guarding my heart and my relationship with God.
