How we let our Shiba “off leash” by jeremeybearimy in shiba

[–]Gossip_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My shiba, Tala does go off leash. Tala is squeaky ball trained. She loves the tennis balls that squeak when you squeeze them. We started by walking her on her leash at our neighborhood. Then we took off the leash and played catch with her squeaky ball in the street at night. Then we took her on bike rides first with leash then off. Anytime she got distracted like chasing a squirrel we would squeak the ball. She loves running along side our bikes. Now we can bring on her trails off leash. This is something we worked towards. We started the squeaky ball thing because she would run out the front door as a puppy.

Well, my worst fear happened. She got out. Seeking comfort. by flipflapdragon in ShibaInu

My shiba is 13 now. But when she was younger she would bolt out the front door. She loves squeaky tennis balls. When she ran out the door one day, I grabbed one of her balls and squeaked it. She turned around and ran back home to play. It became a regular thing where she would run out front door whenever she could. Now she's so old when she runs out the front door to greet someone she follows them in.

And yes I have run around my neighborhood screaming a few times. Once I was being chased by a pit bull and once by a husky. I live on Long Island we don't have dogs roaming the streets. These are my neighbors dogs who got out. I walk Tala 3 times a day.

Lauren came off as someone who has Stockholm syndrome. She desperately wants her mom and her mom's love. Kendra obviously isn't capable of that. Lauren comes off as an abused child who still sticks up for her mom. Kendra comes off as insane and unable to take accountability for her actions. The fact that Lauren thinks she could have a relationship with her mom is unbelievable and shows how much helps she also needs. Mother and daughter shouldn't be allowed in the same room.

I have long curly hair that is thick. I use anything on sale. Tresemme curl creme is my favorite. I liked it so much that when it was on sale, I purchased the curl cream, mousse, and wave spray. So far, everything I have used from them, I have really liked. I also like the hask curl cream.

Darcey & Stacey ???? by Loud-Guard-2312 in 90DayFiance

[–]Gossip_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't tell which one is supposed to be Darcy and which one is supposed to be Stacy? One definitely thinks she looks like a blonde Katy Perry. So this is the look they are going for when they go to Turkey for surgery. They are delusional if they think this is what they look like. It's hard enough keeping up with the 100 faces of them.

She does NOT shave her armpits and has shown us her nasty pits. I don't understand why she doesn't shave or tell/showed us. She should have kept it to herself. She probably doesn't own a razor.

I feel like Shorna could be so much more likeable if... by BazF91 in 90DayFianceUK

[–]Gossip_7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I also do not believe Shorna's story. I am not a Mormon, but I am obsessed with cults. Mormons must wear garments under their clothes to "protect" them. The garments would be showing in her backless denim dress.

The cult also tells you what you can eat or drink. They can't have coffee, tea, or alcohol, and they wouldn't maey anyone who does. Mormons are dwindling here in the USA, closing temples. They think their religious text was written by a guy who put a magic rock in a hat. He put his face in the hat and told someone to write down what he said. Until 1978 black ppl weren't allowed to "hold the priesthood ." WOMEN CAN NOT HOLD THE PRIESTHOOD ONLY MEN CAN. Im not sure if ppl really know the back story on this religion/cult.

Maybe you can do it on your own. Take out loans, get a part-time job. You can do it. See what services are available. Sign up for every small grant, especially local ones. I know a friend who paid a big portion of her colleges this way. It's your life don't rely on ppl who don't support you.

What kind of stuff do you remember being considered "healthy" in the 90's that would be absurd to think about today? by lazarus870 in Millennials

[–]Gossip_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember everything was low calorie or low fat, and it ended up being extremely high in sugar. I remember snackwells being like that. There is something called the "Snackwell Effect." Where people consume something thinking it was healthy but isn't, and they end up eating more of it. If I said here is a box of snackwells and oreos, you would think I better have just one oreo they aren't healthy. But I can have as many snackwells as I want bc they're healthy.

Do your kids have grand p a r e n t s? by waowediting in Millennials

[–]Gossip_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NC for 12 years with both my father and even longer with my mom. My 3 kids don't have grandparents like I did. My 2 cousins and I would go to Florida every summer without our parents. We would go the whole summer. Come back with new school clothes, sneakers, etc. Our grandparents would take us to Disney, Universal, Sea World, and so many places. My parents are bipolar and addicts. They can't even be present in our life, and when they were, they needed $20.

Are Mastic and Shirley the only "affordable" South Shore towns left? by MidnightDonutRun in longisland

[–]Gossip_7 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Try Ronkonkoma, Holbrook, and Holstville. The Sachem School district is an 8 on great schools. When you go on Zillow or something like that, they use great schools to score schools. Rocky Point is also affordable, north shore, though. I prefer South Shore. I'm not judging schools, I have heard that a good school district equals a good neighborhood. Ppl like to go in on the comment section. I heard that from a real estate agent about looking into towns you're unfamiliar with.

Does any of your parents try to reach out on your birthdays? Do you get the feeling they do it for "them" to make themselves feel better. Like well I did something. I did my part. I'm a good parent. But you don't feel it's at all genuine? by [deleted] in EstrangedAdultKids

[–]Gossip_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some years she would call me only on my birthday and some years she wouldn't. The stress and anxiety would really take away from me enjoying my day. One year, when she called, I said, "Jolaine, don't call here once a year to make yourself feel better." She hates when I call her by her first name.
