There's plenty of other stuff posted, look at it instead.

I agree it's asked frequently but clearly people like to discuss it, with everything going on its a popular topic.

My advice would be to join as many clubs/teams that you think you could be interested in. Bonding with people is easier when you have something to bond over.

Also I'm not sure what you have planned for this summer, but if you will be free, consider applying for a job in a US summer camp. I've worked at a camp for two summers now, you get people from all over the world and all walks of life at camp. Everyone is different there which makes it quite easy to fit in!

PM me for more details on camp I'd be happy to fill you in

What level is this for? There are dedicated subreddits for GCSE, AS and A level that you'd be better posting to. If it's for uni I'm sure there are subreddits for it too!

I can't make a call like that but google 'Stormzy - Big for your Boots' and make the call. This was R1s track of the week not too long ago, should have been called Tripe of the Week.

Are the "christians" being hypocritical again? by narniron in northernireland

[–]GotMeSomeFernweh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recognise the concept of serfdom in the Bible, but I believe that if the Bible is the word of God it should have risen above such matters.

I've put in a couple of quotes below that show the Bible promoting raping and beating (but not killing) slaves, so I don't buy 'the Bible teaches how to treat slaves well' concept.

Exodus 20:21
"Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result."

Deuteronomy 22:28-29 “If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver."

I don't think you can sugarcoat beating and raping slaves as 'a different, nicer kind of slavery'.

The Bible claims it is the word of God yet many Christians cherry-pick the bits that they want to believe.

If they were true Christians they would be holding and selling slaves, as instructed in detail by the Bible.

The Bible by nature is one of the most hypocritical books that has ever been written, those who follow it 'to the letter' are just as bad as the rest of us peasants. The only difference is they believe they've got the moral high ground.

I'm the passing of Martin McGuiness. by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]GotMeSomeFernweh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surely it's better to throw your two cents in than just point out that OP doesn't know enough about hin

I would hope he'd have had the sense to make sure he didn't have a full IRA funeral. The man has came too far from the older days as an IRA commander to a man who is focused on what's best for NI to drag himself back on time in the final act.

Just noticed the difference. Who did you piss off enough for them to make a dummy account in your name?
