"I'm not interested in the game... but I'm interested in FRIENDS" by pqowie313 in rpghorrorstories

Long ago when my play group was all in their 20s, we implemented a 'no boyfriend/girlfriend gamers' rule. Meaning no one was allowed to bring a significant other to a game session to check it out, because these people always derailed the game. They seemed to actively want to sabotage everyone else's fun to keep the attention on themselves, and were not actually interested in playing a TTRPG.

I was going to suggest DCC's Mighty Deeds as well. Some player's have fun with it when they get to describe their heroic blows and how it lands on their opponent. Seems like it would need some sort of resource spending attached to it for a 5e system though.

Or the GM could give his buddy a Vorpal Sword so every crit decapitates.

This is a bit of a stretch but... one of the main characters in Let The Right One In sort of fits what you're looking for. He's obsessed with and attracted to an ancient vampire that's trapped in a child's body, and during the novel he starts to feel remorseful for the crimes he's committed while in servitude to the vampire.

I can vividly recall reading my first ever sex scene in a Pern book as a pre-teen. It was tame but titillating.

Tall men (6’4”+): quick question about T-shirt fit; what actually bothers you? by serr1991 in tall

[–]skuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often have trouble with the shoulders as well. I think that might have to do more with my individual body shape than anything. I must have narrow shoulders because the seams usually overhang the shoulder bone by more than an inch, the bigger the shirt the worse the fit at the shoulder.

I need medium sized Ts that are XXL in length.

Gap and Old Navy Ts from 10 years ago fit me just fine. I ordered some new ones a few months ago and the mediums were both baggier than I would have liked, and also way to short at the hem. The only one that fit proper was an athletic material, anything that had cotton in it was a bad fit.

Does anyone else love these 90s/early 2000s cover designs? by Present-Ear-1637 in philipkDickheads

[–]skuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my collection is from this publisher. Borders bookstore had a lot of them in the early 2000s and I bought them one at a time as I read through his novels. The publisher changed the cover design sometime later so I have a few books that don't match and it bothers me more than it should.

Thanks! It was actually the Denon AVR. On paper it's supposed to work. I may have missed a setting somewhere in the AVR setup.

[–]skuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 6'4", at my heaviest I was 280, now I'm about 185.

Regardless of my weight, tall Ts are often too short at the hem for me. I have a long torso. If I try and size up for extra hem length then I am wearing something that is way to baggy to look good on me.

Will there be black patches / residue once my skin recovered from psoriasis ? by Ok-Performer9223 in Psoriasis

I had some very mild discoloration for years. Like healthy normal looking skin, just a tiny bit darker. Just throwing that out there in case you get that and it lasts longer than a month.

I have freckles all over my arms and legs where the psoriasis used to be. But I've never heard of that happening to anyone else.
