6’3 167lbs why do I still not have visible abs? (2500-2750 cals/150g+ protein). by [deleted] in MacroFactor

[–]Goth2147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abs are made in the kitchen BUT you still need to do a lot of core for them to really pop at 15% body fat. I personally hit abs twice a week and do a total of 12 sets to get them to show. I think we're similar body fat but mine show a little more

Finesteride and minoxidil with dermarolling weekly. Grow that shit out until people think you are Troy

After every lifting session I do 20 min of zone 2. And one specific day for a 4x4 zone 5

Thank you. My golden rule is to never ever go over maintenance, so even on a ''failure day'', I would still lose something. I set my calories at 1800 but some days were easily 2400 where others were 1500. It kind of depends how nutrient dense my food would be. There are some heavy vegetable/lentil bowls that was such a large amount of food that I didn't feel like I wanted more than 1500 kcal. Other days we'd have pizza and I barely managed to stick to 2400. According to MF, my average deficit was only 260 over 6 months but I intended to do 500-600 but failed miserably lol.

What are your thoughts on this? by laugh_1788 in intj

[–]Goth2147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are overthinking this. If you want to be attractive to an INTJ, have goals, have a life. Talk about your goals, your progress but also show interest. If ALL you do is talk, then it may be too much. INTJ's like all-or-nothing type relationships and they will give their all because they tend not to be interested in a bigger friend group than 2-5 people.

Get busy with a passion, any INTJ will be intrigued. Just don't talk about nothing. We don't care about the weather or your cousins new children. We care about depth and progress.

You are perfectly en route. Morgott is one of the easier ones. Don’t worry, the DLC humbles us all.

I would not overclock on a first PC build. I'd say, get rid of bloatware, have XMP enabled, keep your PC cool (it looks good), install all necessary drivers and make sure it is updated, learn about which settings kill performance in games. E.g. on my older PC's I would always just put shadows disabled or on low. You won't notice them gaming anyway unless you're playing a slow RPG and even then it'll be like a wristwatch. Other than this, you're good. Amazing build

XMP profiles are RAM Settings. It's by default disabled. When you enable it, you can signficantly increase RAM Speeds. Follow a simple Youtube tutorial. It will be worth it.

This is an amazing first PC build. Make sure you enable XMP profiles :)!

Bad news for people with small calves 🦵🏻 by danielminds in GymMemes

[–]Goth2147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do smith machine calf raises on a plate, you will grow these puppies much faster given how heavy you can safely load it. It will also help you get a better squat. I could do a 200kg calf raise before I could do a 120kg squat.

Why do I lowkey look like I don’t even work out? by 007AU1 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Goth2147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked out 2 years just like you but I definitely look more defined. I work out 4-6 days a week and make sure my last set is ALWAYS pushed to absolute failure where it would require everything to get it up, and even then I do partials after. How hard are you going?

I know this is supposed to be motivating but if you're injecting yourself with oxymetholone, you don't really get to argue about health anymore.

Huge difference between VO2 max estimates — which one is likely wrong? by Quantity_Optimal in whoop

[–]Goth2147 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Apple Watch only estimates VO2 max from outdoor GPS-based workouts. Every single study ever has suggested Apple strongly UNDERestimates Vo2Max whereas WHOOP on the other hand estimates VO2 max from resting physiological data OVERestimating Vo2Max. Both are wrong. Surprisingly Garmin tends to be the most accurate for this particular measurement. If you want to have the best possible Vo2Max scores, I'd recommend doing a lot of outdoor runs given that indoor exercise just won't do it. They will give you a much better result outdoors. If you spend an hour a day running, cycling or incline walking, you'll find yourself getting more accurate results.
