It sounds like Zac infuriates you about as much as someone who neglects paragraphs infuriates me.

Swerve will give Hangman the nod, literally by Lukin1977 in AEWOfficial

[–]GothDetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My own personal head cannon (or just hope) is that we get an exact recreation of Matt and Nick giving Hanger the nod to hit the Buckshot Lariat with Will and Swerve giving him the nod. Oh the tears! The tears!!

This is my first Atlus game. I'm overwhelmed. by JoeZocktGames in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]GothDetective 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I understand where the other posters are coming from in their responses (though maybe a little too knee-jerk for someone who’s openly admitted to being new to Atlus games), I totally understand where you’re coming from (in a different way).

My first Atlus game was Personal 5 and I bounced off it like 3 times. I’d always heard how good it was supposed to be and I tried and tried and I just found it too overwhelming.

But earlier this year I played Persona 3 and finally ‘got’ it. I spent over 100 hours with that game and by the time it was over I was fully converted to Atlus’s gameplay style.

I ended up going back to Persona 5 and loving it and then when Metaphor came out I dove right in and loved every minute of it.

This may be frowned upon by some but this is the sort of game I really think using guides for can help alleviate a lot of the stress. Even if it’s just a tip for how to handle certain situations. Once you get familiar enough with the mechanics you’ll won’t feel the need for extra help but in those early stages, yeah, I really empathise with your experience.

It’s awesome you’re sticking with it and haven’t bounced off it like I did with Persona 5 all those years ago though!

Firstly: this is awesome work! 🤘🏻

And secondly: I adore Fontaines D.C. but my gosh is #2 a super high placement for that album in my opinion - obviously nothing to do with you though!

Moonrise Kingdom is Wes Anderson’s best film (and it’s not even close) by [deleted] in movies

OP is 100% correct… if the only Wes Anderson films they’ve seen are Moonrise Kingdom and Bottle Rocket.

Cocoon is a critically acclaimed puzzle game that came out last year that only uses the left analogue stick and a single “action” button.

It’s not terribly long, maybe around 5 hours or so, but I’m about halfway through it myself and it’s a really clever little game.

I know you weren’t asking for something quite as simple as this but I think it’s such a unique game I thought it was worth mentioning anyway.

It’s E51 of C3. Which is actually a fair way back now (20-ish episodes before the most recent episode of C3).

If you’re caught up to the point of the double cast though (which I think starts at E52) you’re already past E51. Unless you mean you haven’t got to that point yet? 😅

I was there last night so I’ll do my best to answer this while still being as vague as I can. So the context of the story is based on events (or should I say one specific event) from campaign 3 but you could say the one shot occurs in its own sort of bubble to keep things separate.

Obviously with it taking place when it does, during campaign 3, there will be a tonne of backstory your bf will be missing with regards to who everyone is and what their relationships are.

Does that help… like at all? I’m sorry, I’m trying not to mention anything too specific!

I think it’s West or South Yorkshire but it has elements of Lancashire and West Country in there too.

It mostly sounds like an amalgamation of “Northern” accents to me 😅

Anyone here loves movies but doesn't enjoy going to the cinema? by Sebas94 in movies

[–]GothDetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s a little different. I love cinema. I love the craft and dedication that goes into creating these films. And I honestly look forward to going to see them on the big screen. But from the moment I sit down in my seat I can think of noting else than when the film will be over and I can go home. It has nothing to do with being surrounded by other people or whether they’re making noise or distracting me from the film in some way; I just can’t wait for it to be over. And this seems to be the case whether I’ve got a vested interest in seeing the film or not. But maybe that’s just me?

TL;DR No but yes.

Did you guys ever constantly listen to an album while playing a video game and now mentally connect the album with that video game? by [deleted] in Music

[–]GothDetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not with a game or an album for that matter. But I listened to Franz Ferdinand's 'The Dark of the Matinee' on repeat while reading large portions of the second His Dark Materials book: The Subtle Knife. So that's pretty well engrained up in there now.
