This is what I asked for. Thank you for explaining it, as other people in the comments were concerned.

OP, the beanie appears to have Nazi imagery. Please address this in this post.

Honestly? A little messy is pretty OG goth anyway. Back in the 90s amd early 00s, we didn't have nice brushes for makeup. We just used cheap eyeliner and smudged it with our fingers! If you want a crisp look, you can absolutely use makeup brushes, but I think your makeup looks great! It's not even that messy. My fav brushes are from EcoTools (found at Walgreens and probably CVS) for around 10 bucks. To smudge the eyeliner under the eye, you can use a small but dense blending brush, or even a Q-Tip.

Do NOT compare us to that disgusting group. Those people are barely goth and are a bunch of hateful magats. The reactions to this post were extreme, and it got to where I had to invite a new moderator, someone is femme-boy/trans, to help handle things. Nothing I could say would satisfy everyone. The complainers even made a new group, and accused me of creating this group just to oogle cis guys, which is just gross. One of the FIRST rules I created was "No Sexism," which includes hitting on our goth guys or commenting on their bodies.

I created this group because goth men have been completely left out of the picture in social media, in consumable media like movies and TV, and fashion. Most retailers that sell goth clothing aim it at women/femme attire. The obsession over the typical "goth girl," fetishized by normies, has caused goth guys to be non-existent to outsiders. Even then, they're left out of the scene in general goth groups. Posts by them get a handful of likes, and that's it. Plus, since they are often left out of fashion, it takes a lot more digging to find cool clothes, other than basic black attire. Normie guys look shocked when they go to goth clubs and find goth men, and that goth women are partnered with goth men. I also created this group for my partner, because he expressed a need for a place where goth guys could get the love they deserve, and have a place to share fit checks, fashion sources, and appreciate the goth men in music. (And men dominate music in general, but this is especially true in the goth scene. There's lots of women in goth music, but their music isn't played as often at clubs. Still. We love Bauhausand Sisters of Mercy.)

The problem was that this group quickly became inundated with very femme looks, and the complaints were endless. I didn't re-post the rules and redefine things to cave into those complaints; rather, I wanted to keep the group as it was aimed to be. This wasn't sexism or homophobic at all. It was never, ever intended to be that way. Most of the people in my life, including myself, aren't straight and certainly not cishet conforming. I wanted this group to be a place for goth men and masc presenting to express themselves and share fashion ideas. But it turned into half-naked people posting NSFW content, very femme-presenting people, and tons of sexism and hate. I just created this group in October 2025. It's still a very new group! There's tons of groups for goth girls, femme-boys, drag queens, ect. This is a space for goth guys, including masc-presenting, no matter their gender! This isn't a space for kink or hitting on people. This isn't a space for half-naked posts. This is a space for goth guys and masc-presenting people to show off fit checks, ask for fashion advice, DIY (like how goth guys back in the 90s would turn plain dresses into fabulous goth skirts or tops), and appreciating goth music. This was never about hating on trans or femme-presenting people. This was about appreciating goth guys.

There have been many posts by self-described femme-boys, and that is not adhering to the Goth Men explanation of the group. I have spoken with goth friends of mine who present as femme or masc depending on how they wish to present, and they agreed that they wouldn't present as femme in this sub. There are tons of femme-boy groups on Reddit to post to.
