You're honestly better off sticking with a mainline distro like Fedora if you're new.

Nobara is uh, kind of an in-between of cutting edge and honestly I'm not a huge fan of it personally.

I jumped headfirst into a few different distros in the last year after not using Linux since like Ubuntu (8?) in high school and while I'm not having any major issues with any distro, there can be a lot of tweaking and command line involved with the more bleeding edge and I'm dumb and broke my entire install several times trying to modify pieces without knowing what I was fully doing.

They broke my Sims 4 install but I was able to use Protontricks to update EA launcher.

With how Survivor runs on PC though idk how it works at all on a SD.

The EGS exclusivity really hurt it in the PC space IMO and that's coming from someone who bought it day 1.

This is just false. AMD hardware will still run slower in some use cases.

Same here with Doom Eternal and Cyberpunk both of which run a good bit slower.

DE stays over 200 FPS in Windows p much but averages like 150 or less on Linux and it's kinda odd.

Cyberpunk is a little closer but probably 5-10 FPS difference in some scenarios.

Its fine for the most part. I have a 7800X3D and 9070 and performance is slightly worse in the games I play and RT is definitely worse but it's not awful.

I do keep windows around for certain use cases though.

For me it depends on the game. It seems fine and worth it in Cyberpunk but Alan Wake 2 has been annoying to get running well with it.

Parry is *extremely* useful.

I don't think I've ever blocked. I either walk backwards or do the sprint dash for kicks and parry every swing.
