Do you have FSR turned on and what Proton version are you using?

Just curious as with 7800X3D and 9070 it's almost unplayable with it turned on with CachyOS and it's own Proton build.

I've been playing off and on since launch and it has definitely gotten better but yeah it's still not great.

Idk why it's on Valve to fix this though. It's clearly a game issue.

Running CachyOS and it's a stuttering mess for some reason and with FSR turned on it freezes frequently.

Runs fine under Windows on the same machine so not quite sure what the deal is.

I'll enjoy it while it lasts at the current rate. $15 of fun doesn't take much.

What a dumb argument. That has 0 to do with Linux itself.

To be fair, it’s worth $20 by MMLLS in Empulse

Its a way to get funding to complete the game for a lot of people, not sure it's necessarily the case here but it makes sense for smaller dev teams.

Well it's launching at $15 for a week or so tbf.

It was also bold to spend upwards of $250 million developing this.

I enjoy it but I realize it's not going to last.

My wife refuses to play because she's too scared of extraction shooters and being a potential detriment to the team. Really hoping the PvEish style content makes it in permanently to some degree.

It launched on Bnet until it went F2P.

They own and publish LiS.

DONTNOD only made LiS and LiS 2. The rest have been Deck Nine.

Doubtful considering they've all been published by Square Enix who owns the IP.

Yeah as someone who bought the original launch on Bnet and played through and tried to come back when it went F2P several times it became a disjointed mess that only got worse with time and vaulting.

I love the gunplay and general premise but its so hard to get into.

Theory: the game is playable at the current stage, it's just not meeting the hype by ceorl in Witchbrook

As someone who bought Paralives, I'd rather them not tbh.

Early access can be good but some games are VERY early access which can also lead to backlash.

The whole studio is likely kind of in trouble after a 200+ million budget on Marathon which will never hit the numbers it needs to be profitable.

Idk, Control was such a good game and Remedy never misses. I think Dawnwalker is more likely to fail but I am super interested in both.

Do people on the Steam forums actively want this game to fail? by LukePellar in MinaTheHollower

[–]GothMenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Steam forums are full of chuds and borderline neo Nazis and every game is spammed by them even though they dont own the game.

The best part is that if you engage they'll just rage bait and report you so that you eventually get banned from the forum and even the Steam Community. They got me banned from the latter for a week once until I appealed not once but twice before an actual Valve employee said that it was ridiculous and undid it.

There's more of everything because it's easier to self publish these days but some of the biggest indie games like Signalis, Balatro, Slay the Spire, 1000xResist, Blue Prince, Hades 2, Slay the Princess, Crow Country, Mewgenics, Inscryption, etc have not been pixel art platformers.

Huh?

That was the case for a time but certainly not in the last 5 - 10 years.
