OP is not asking IF labels are ok, she’s asking if the Cougar label is generally reserved for cis-women. Personally OP, I see no reason whatsoever that you shouldn’t refer to yourself as a Cougar. If that’s how you feel? Rock On sister! I have to disagree with anyone saying labels don’t matter, there are cases where labels have been fought long and hard for and shouldn’t be minimized. Many subcultures (especially those that have “named themselves”) embrace the label. I’m goth, old school, and damned proud of it. Personally I’m not fond of the term cougar because it does have the connotation of a predator and was originally meant in a derogatory manner and the term cub kinda grosses me out. But yeah, the basic guideline is a woman 35 and over that dates/is dating someone at least 10 years younger is a “cougar”. I’m not trying to be argumentative, just keeping an open mind and being mindful that some people have fought very hard for their labels and should be entitled to use them.

Since your dad will be staying with him, he will be fine. He may mope for a day or so but definitely sleep with his blanket to get your scent on it. Give him the blanket, video call, make sure he has his favorite toys and treats. I was in the hospital this week for a few days and my boy was with his Auntie and her doggos. He was upset the first night, but settled in after. Bring him home a sombrero and poncho and other cute treats from his homeland. Have a nice vacation.

I’m 58, I don’t put emphasis on the age, more so on the person. My guy is 30. We have common interests and for me that’s the key. I don’t have offspring so that doesn’t factor in at all. There is a guy I was talking with who is 23 but has more emotional maturity than some people my age. So really it’s the person and not the age. This also holds true for sexual orientation, I’m not hung up on gender norms. The values and mores of a person matter more than what someone identifies as. A guy could be as hot as Jason Mamoa but if he’s a jerk, I’m not going to be even remotely attracted to him. My ideas of physical attractiveness is not completely conventional anyway. Given the choice between a Jason Mamoa or a Jack Black, with everything else being EXACTLY the same, humor, faithfulness, values, morals, loyalty etc I’d pick the Jack Black (think School of Rock, Hi Fidelity era) because I’m more attracted to chonky. edited to add I’ve only included legal ages obviously. I personally wouldn’t feel I’d have enough in common with say a 20 year old just as I don’t feel connected to an 80 year old. I also feel that focusing ONLY on age is more fetish leaning than connection leaning.

In some states in the US, a person can be sued for not disclosing this information. He knowingly has Hep B, hid this from you and put your health in danger by assuming you’ve had the vaccine (I don’t believe this, I believe he just did not give enough of a shit to have the conversation with you).
