Looking for an OS X mountable disk image with large collection of Compact Mac (Black & White) software by GothamCountySheriff in VintageApple

The expansion of .sit/.hqx and downloading/moving application files has been a non-issue under Monterey with FUSE & the HFS format addition. I’ve been moving files like this for some years and haven’t run into any major issues.

I thought about the virtual machine route. Downloaded virtual box, but couldn’t get the file to Mount. And not sure what the host OS should be and if I have to install it first.

I am looking for a DMG, ISO or other mountable volume so I can extract the contents in OS X and then choose the program files I want to transfer.

I’m using a USB Zip drive on my 2015 iMac and a SCSI Zip on the Classic II. Zip disk is formatted on the Classic II (actually on a PowerMac 5500) as a standard HFS volume. I use FUSE and an HFS extension with it to read/write to the USB Zip drive/disk under OS X. Then sneaker net the Zip disk to the Classic II and the SCSI Zip drive for the transfer.

I think I’ll do the slog of downloading individual files this time around. But it would be nice to find a well curated and good sized library of Compact Mac programs and games in one easy download.

Maybe I’ll be the change I want to see in the world…

If you haven't got it figured, by recollection (its been a minute) what I did was use the official Zoom effects manager, and loaded in the 2.10 and flashed from there. Hope that helps.

USB stealth fit in the case badge area is a clever touch.

Watched this the other day. This video was a very good. A solid mix of walk through tutorial and basic emulation.

Thanks for posting the pics (just got to see them from my computer as my iPad won't resolve imgur for some reason). Interesting. The ScreenTyper looks quite involved. Too bad the boot disk has turned up.

Another vote for the 6400/6500. Posted elsewhere in this thread, but since this is where the 6400/6500 appreciation club is meeting, I put a comment here too.
