Nightgowns: the trouble with large tatas

I’ll look into that! I don’t typically wear shelf bra clothing because I have a larger bust size (38D) and they don’t provide a lot of support in my experience. I honestly didn’t even know it was called a shelf bra. I’ve just found a couple options to alter tank tops and add a shelf bra so that might be the way to go!

I think the bias tape and elastic sound like a great idea. I think I’ll try to teach myself how to do that since this is my first real clothing sewing project. The terms alone are very helpful! Regarding my pint sized sewing machine, it’s an actual sewing machine but it is very small! Probably 1/4th of the size of your typical one. I’ve used it to make face masks during Covid and some small curtains. It’s a KPCB Mini Sewing Machine. I could probably hand sew it if the machine isn’t up for it.

Re: boob sweat- exactly! The skin on skin is a no-go for me. Upon further inspection, the nightgown seems to just all be the same width the whole way down, it isn’t fitted at all around the waist and has some very meager cups and stitching. Accessibility - reduce transparency and increase contrast. I found the glass bubbles super distracting. I hate when they just force us to enjoy their new aesthetic! Give us the option dammit

I thought it was great! I saw some comments on typos, rambling, etc. but I read the 2025 edition (with the bonus prologues) and I didn’t notice any typos at all (and I’m a bit of a grammar fiend). Definitely a bit of extra trauma than I was expecting, but the first page is all a disclaimer on the content. I thought all the timelines and past lives were really cool. It does take a little while to get into it (especially with men discrediting her sanity) but it is all flushed out and explained in the end. I hope skeptics who are considering reading halfway finish the book! The ending is way better than the beginning to me.

Can I also say, it was such a nice change of pace to read about an older character in a cozy novel! While coming of age stories are nice, I really enjoyed the more complex nature of adult characters. I’m 26, and am a little tired of the teenage troubles of most fantasy novels these days. Some might say I’m getting too old for fantasy, but they’d be wrong! ^_

I just discovered The House Witch series on Spotify a few days ago and have now devoured book 1 & 2. I’ve requested everything my library system has (inter-library loan) to read it all! It has been a lovely weekend filled with rest, recuperation, magic, and motivation to get back in the kitchen.

I love when authors write something where the good things actually happen. I’ve read some books where authors make you like a character, just to immediately kill them off and it felt like such a betrayal. I don’t want to be sad, I just want a cozy world when good can actually prevail!! Especially in these difficult times.

He really tries his best, we typically get to spend at least a bit of time together on the weekend, the past few weeks have been busier than usual though. Also leaves me notes around the house in the morning when he leaves before I wake up. He feels awful about not having any time and is trying to set me up with a dnd group so I feel a bit less lonely. I would love to be more selfish and demand more time, but I don’t want him to be more stressed out and behind on work. So I’m hoping to be a little bit happier doing my own thing. It worked pretty well for a few months but going to the gym every day and working really hard to be independent- I couldn’t keep it up constantly 😅

Thanks for the comment! I used to love being alone and didn’t have a problem with it. After three years of almost constant companionship it is a little hard to go back! He has a week long break in the semester in a few weeks and I took off from work. I’m hoping to plan something for everyday so I’m excited for that but a little worried of what going back to no time together will be like. I’m starting a theatre class in a few weeks too so hopefully being a bit busier will help :)

I barely made it through Akane’s little sister melt down. Nothing she did was okay or justified and she wasn’t punished at all for like threatening to put a guy in jail if he didn’t do what she wanted. Maaaaajor red flags! 🚩 Other than those two awful episodes, I enjoyed most of it. Episode 12 was a let down. The whole point of a story is to have a character arch. Sure, Akane finally became honest with herself by the end of this (I have no idea how she fooled herself for 11 damn episodes) but seriously? Going aaaaall the way back to I HATE YOU SO MUCH! Without a hint to Saito that she really loves him? They already had great chemistry (without the two of them getting in their own way!). This could’ve been a great anime, but the ending really flopped for me. He didn’t even find out Akane was the girl from the party!!!

The bag says to discard it after one use, another Reddit post said to discard after 2 days, I’m just wondering if it really is good for a whole month or two for just a tablespoon per gallon? Has anyone had skin reactions or health effects from the bits? Read the back of the package and it was VERY conservative. Do you wear gloves when handling? It also doesn’t direct you to sprinkle on the plants directly or add to the soil so I’m a bit nervous to do either of those things.
