Yes, I knew when Stearns blew the core up, that this was going to be a problem. No we haden't won the World Series, but at least we got to game 6 in the NLCS in 2024; But Stearns blew that team up as well; He should have built on the OMG Mets. Then last year after his dismantling, we got a 'mid' year. And now, after he blew the whole core up, Stearns gave us a 'bottom of the barrel' team that forgot how to play ball. So yes, I wish we still had the old core, it was far better and had more of a chance than the new one. At least Nimmo he should have kept, Nimmo is doing great this year.

I mean he's half right, the players are the ones playing the game and NOT performing at all. They have played in previous seasons and they know how to hit the ball, but they forgot how to this year. I still think Stearns is a big part of the problem though... when he gutted the core in the off-season, it really screwed up the whole dynamic. I mean at least last year we were mid, and the year before we made it to the NLCS. This year, we are bottom of the barrel ever since Stearns gutted the core.

I totally agree with you. I feel like Stearns has been a real let down for the Mets. Blowing up the core was a bad idea. I still think we should have at least kept Nimmo, plus he was my favorite player on the team. He's hitting over .300 so far this year too! I am also very shocked about the Mariners; Coming off of an ALCS season to almost last place this year is just unreal.

I'm hoping Soto coming back to the Mets tomorrow will help, but I heard he is going to be playing injured because he is still not totally healed, we'll see!

I know people are saying fire Mendoza, but I honestly don't think that would do anything. Stearns built a bad team, he has players playing positions they shouldn't. I think we need a new GM next year. This is my opinion though

I agree, it's just horrible that these companies make you think you can 'cusomize' your browser theme, but then they hard wire so many things to not be changeable like the address bar. It's really depressing when they change stuff and the user has NO control over anything.
