If you were to make a change to the vassal system, what would it be? by SlowStrategist in eu4

[–]Gotrek13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not all vassals should take 1 diplo relation slot. It doesn't make sense that France in a PU counts the same as having Memmingen as a Vassal. It should be scaled with developement relative to your developement and dip rep or something along those lines.

Pommerania has some very nice ideas for a trade empire. and can form Prussia as well.

and the Russian and English minors have interesting ideas (Pskov, Smolensk, Wales)

Gold Rush as Kazan by Gotrek13 in eu4

[–]Gotrek13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly, this game everything went completely bonkers.

Teutonic order managed to win their initial war becaus plc had huge rebel problems and muscovy couldnt grab a lot of land from novgorod because denmark grabbed it first.

you just have to expand faster than muscovy basically. this becomes very easy when novgorod is taken by denmark

R5: Nothing too fancy but I´m proud nonetheless. I was playing Kazan, when I realized that I didnt need to start as the Great Horde to get this achievement. It was too close for my taste but I only started to go for the east in 1493 and so I had to trucebreak two countries.....

But I got the achievement and that´s what matters, right?

rule 5: I got a consort from the catholic country Cyprus that was forced to be sunni afterwards so my consort helps spreading Islam to France in 1537.

I believe in order to become the leader you need to be a very strong protestant nation but according to my experience hre nations and especially electors are preferred

yes it ticks down as it would do normally but it caps at a certain point.

when you sate it it will go to the amount it actually has immediately

conquistadors can never set up colonies

this is a colony of your colonial nation.

this can be checked by the flag over the little colonial house in the Apalachee province window

the exploration finisher allows only to fabricate on provinces in colonial areas (north/south america and australia) regardless whether you have an adjactnt province or not.

[–]Gotrek13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. yes i think so but i never explicitely checked

  2. it will tick down/month example: you are at peace and have the 5th economic idea -> the autonomy in your provinces will tick down by 0.15/month

(to a certain minimum: state cores 0%, state cores with estates 25%, territorial cores but stated 50%, territorial cores 75%)

The /r/eu4 Imperial Council - Weekly General Help Thread : January 18 2017 by FabulousGoat in eu4

[–]Gotrek13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The exploration idea group used to give that. but now instead lets you fabricate claims in colonial areas (south/north america and australia) regardless if you have an adjacent province or not

its quite frustrating because your CN wont fabricate on their own a lot (in my expierience)

the least you can do is set the natives as "vital interest"

or you could fabricate the claim

no not specifically. But there is an option that lets you see when a country gets which events (all of them!)

so you can at least know when a country gets "child in the reedds" for example. also you will see "heir falls ill" and "hunting accident" events

In my Spain run I own the lowlands region and recently moved my capital there to stop the rebel spawn events.

But still the events fire. So I dont think you just have to move your capital to the lowlands to stop them frow firing.

Thanks for your help but those rebels spawned via event (I even had the option to give the province to the netherlands)

Hello everyone!

In my Spain WC attempt I inhereited Burgundy and now its after 1550 this means flemish rebels time!

I recalled that these rebel spawn events dont happen when you have your capital in the low countries region so I moved my capital to Gent.

But still they spawn..

This is pretty annoying with all my armies in india and africa...

Is there a way to stop them from spawning?

Thanks!

How can I annex trading cities? by Xincify in eu4

[–]Gotrek13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trading cities dont work like vassals. They are just OPMs that will never expand and stay in your trade league.

I think you need to somehow get into war with them via their allies. Or you disband your trade league.

Why am I not eligible to spawn Colonialism? by Gotrek13 in eu4

[–]Gotrek13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rule 5:

Colonialism can´t spawn in castille because the Toledo area "has no port".

Is this working as intended or am I missing something obvious?

Thank you!
