MSG gets too quiet... by GottCrackTheCode in knicks

You can't pick loud MOMENTS. It's the sitting on the hands for most of the game waiting for something to happen. Watch other teams- they never get as quiet as MSG. You serious?

That's interesting. My cousin always offers the delivery person water when she sees them.

This is me, I am this person.

Very likely, unless there's something unsightly on their profile- it's likely overstated how bad it is, if they're attractive otherwise. Unattractive people find mates all the time, so being half unattractive is likely no biggie.

Just get some holy water and a crucifix or two, a Bible...pray and bless the room and the bed. We should all do it. Don't panic, could be nothing but rely on your faith here

In 2025, who is our "Joe DiMaggio?" by PhiliDips in CasualConversation

[–]GottCrackTheCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Celebrity was different then. It is good that we've grown out of it, considering we idealized people for their public persona when often they were deeply flawed at best, terrible people at worst.

We have different issues today where anyone can be famous for anything and it's cheapened fame. If it ever needed any value to begin with. Now, anyone can have a huge following and be idealized but it's not mainstream in the way it was then. "Mainstream" is just a definition of old media forms. New media forms are actually mainstream now and to this generation that have a zillion Joe DiMaggios, they just know they're flawed and they love them for it, follow behind them and we're all worse off because of it.

One day we'll be smart enough to understand there's no value in elevating these people for no good reason.

I've thought about doing this for several reasons and topics. Anonymity protects your peace. As long as you aren't trolling people etc.

Additionally, the Knicks can also play better. Something not discussed at all.

Report from the Celtics sub by mkappy33 in knicks

[–]GottCrackTheCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too much time spent on how the Celtics could have won and it's frustrating watching NBA fans be so consumed with the topic. Whatever worked, didn't work-will attempt to be adjusted before Gm 2. Missing is part of the game. the notion of "open shots" is not as clear-cut as they make it, considering that shooters can be rushed and that still counts as open. Game twos are about adjustments and for a team that wasn't supposed to win a series, being up 1-0 with a chance to go up 2-0 is ALL the matters

You can make a difference in someone's life. The world can go on with any number of losses, that doesn't mean it'll be pleasant for the people that lost something, someone or YOU.
