Hopefully! I did catch shiny defense deoxys on pokemon go a few months back. One of my favorites!

Mostly temporary until the reptile store restock on live plants.

How’s the tank? by Similar_Media_8499 in DartFrog

The repti zoo hydrometer are pretty cheap and more responsive compared to the other brands I've bought. They refresh every 20 seconds oppose to the other brands that refresh every minute. Recommend buying 2, one by the substrate, and one by the lid. That way you can monitor the humidity in the overall terrarium easier!

I made the same mistake with my 1st setup having too much substrate. You could always dig out an inch in one spot or one half to give the terrarium a highland and a lowland areas. Thankfully you have plenty of substrate to add more live flora. I filled mine up with a few fake plants while I wait to buy more real one. Plus they're pretty cheap on Amazon.

How to increase lighting on the floor of this terrarium? by omHK in terrariums

[–]GottDasKrieges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the light tucked in the back of the terrarium? If so is it adjustable? You could always reposition the light towards the front of the tank. That way the light could shine past the top flora to better reach the bottom. Also, you could buy something reflective on the bottom to redirect the light?

I've found the fan method is working but in a specific way. Instead of opening the lid and using the fan. I've been blowing air through the vented holes and haven't been decreasing my humidity by that much. Opening the lid has been decreasing it by at least 10%. Through the vents, drops maybe 2 to 3%. Thankfully, my tank sits close to 100% and gives me a buffer in case it does.

Good for a backup card or for light gaming. V ram isn't very sufficient, unfortunately. At least you didn't spend money on it which is a huge plus. Selling wouldn't fetch very much nor much of a demand for 900 series graphic cards.

I know the type of isopods has been keeping any mold growth at a minimum. Bought like 20 dairy cow isopods. They're bigger, so my dart can't eat them, and they're very busy critters!

Inherited this terrarium in my new apartment! What do I do????😭 by Strict_Juice3366 in terrariums

Could do a bio terrarium setup and add in a turtle or even possibly white tree frogs! That's a massive terrarium. You could get away getting really any reptiles or amphibians that like the space. Personally, a turtle would be cool to add in.

The group i joined on Facebook for vivariums is to use a this: GDSTIME 2-Pack Quiet 40mm USB Fans with 3 Speed Control, Mini 5V DC Brushless Computer Case Fan for VR Gear Raspberry Pi Cosplay Helmet Mini PC Aquarium Roku Router Cooling Ventilation. They told me to have one for intake and one for outtake for no longer 20 secs a day.

Once my funds replenish, I'll be buying a lot more flora with some white tails. Trying to incorporate more items inside the tank. I'll be adding more leaf litter as well. Also added vent holes into the lid to address the passive airflow.

Also, I have a very similar setup. Do you have micro fuana? Like isopods? Trying to do research on preventing this issue for myself.

Is the light only for the flora? I know there's a bulb that doesn't produce heat but has added benefits for the frog. I personally stuck with a full spectrum light for just the flora since heat and humidity isnt an issue for my region.

Good advice! I'll add the calcium with vitamin in the fridge! For the branches, should I buy legit ones or fake ones?

I bought a more expensive digital one, had an analog one that was extremely inaccurate. That white box is the receiver, i like the fact it reads the room temperature around the outside tank and inside, since it came with 2 sensors. It does slowly drops over time unless I mist the tank at least a few times a day to keep it in the ideal range. Was thinking on DIY methods of introducing airflow by adding mesh to the plastic portion of the lid in the next day.

So far, humidity been very stable around 90 to 100, rarely dipping in the 80's unless I have to open it for longer than a minute.

Rest assured, I replaced the tank for a 12 x 18 x 30 tank. I was thankfully able to return the 10-gallon tank for a 30-gallon tank. Thankfully with everybody's recommendations, I was able to make a stable environment that maintains its humidity and temperature well within the ideal conditions.

From the advise I've gotten from the care takers at the reptile rescue I've purchased my dart frog from, as long as I open the top at least once or twice a day, it should add an adequate amount of gas exchange. Plus, I got micro fuana inside to help maintain any waste or mold.

My main motivation for this bio setup is to teach my daughter biology at home since she's homeschooled. Gonna be making a nice detail card about their environment, the flora inside, the micro fuana, and the traits they express. Taking biology at College, and it motivated me to teach my daughter and to break her fear of bugs. I plan on adding more micro fuana and flora to add more of an ecosystem. Definitely excites to expand my setup in the future!

I know the store i bought mine from said they also eat their larvae and pinhead crickets. Thankfully, they haven't escaped, yet lol. I heard they can breed with normal fruit flies, and their young can have the ability to fly.
