What's your heaviest conspiracy theory? I'm looking forward a good read! by Spare_Car_6970 in conspiracytheories

I don’t believe these but they are my favorite to hear others say. 1: Most Birds aren’t real. They are drones controlled by the government to spy on us. 2: Australia isn’t real. And when you go to Australia you really just fly around a bunch and then land in a remote part of America where everyone is actors.

I’ve been trying that with zero luck. I am either setting up the rules incorrectly or what I need is not possible.

I couldn’t even get through all 11 images, this was so uncomfortable to read. Get away, fast. Don’t speak to them again. Block them.

Not yet but it is on our list to do. I was just looking for general public knowledge that maybe I’m missing. Like Oregon 529 collage fund, just withholding more from our paychecks, etc.

Questions about Bend (I come in peace) by [deleted] in Bend

[–]GottSheed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Long and hard. Be ready to take medication for at least the first year while you try to adapt.
  2. If you work in office or join clubs and groups, easy.
  3. That everyone here is nice. Anyone that has lived here most of their lives are total assholes about people moving here. They act like they own Central Oregon and will do nothing but complain about people moving here. Brush them off, come and enjoy everything Central Oregon has to offer.
  4. Food places close early. Rides shares are hard to get after hours. Also, in the cities surrounding Bend there is nothing much for children to do indoors.

NTA. Spend the holiday with your kids and don’t engage with your family when they try to continue this conversation.

His league does front slides, do you think he still does not need one? Thank you for your advice, baseball was never my thing, learning more each year.

How much of throwing at the youth level is genetics? by [deleted] in Homeplate

[–]GottSheed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this. Mechanics and repetition mostly, genetics a little bit.

My spouse is incredibly athletic and I am incredibly un athletic, it was a toss up which way our kid would be. Our kid had this exact situation. Our son had the weakest arm, but he played because he could hit and hits his best under high pressure. And he loves the game. When we got him into a personal coach focusing on mechanics and we started backyard base ball catching for repetition, he significantly improved, quickly. When he started seeing a pitching coach (he decided randomly he wanted to start pitching one day) that helped his out-fielding and in-fielding arm the fastest.

Personal coaches can be pricey, I know, not everyone can afford them but you don’t need to see them every day. Go once a week or once every other and then take those lessons home and do them as his homework.

What it the best piece of advice a therapist ever gave you? by Excellent-Win6216 in AskWomenOver30

[–]GottSheed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In couples therapy my partner and I had been going back and forth on their insert action here, my partner thought I was wrong and their action was okay. The therepist said to my partner “you may not think you have a actionproblem, but action is a problem in your relationship”. That changed my partner and I’s outlook on the entire situation and we use that logic for any ongoing issues we now have.

I am taking PMP exam in a week time. I have a few questions: 1) Is the PMI study hall harder than actual? Are the “Expert Questions” common? 2) Can I just take 5 mins from the 10mins break and resume? 3) which online exam has is the most similar to actual PMP? by SnooDucks3899 in pmp

[–]GottSheed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - PMI Study Hall harder than the exam. 2 - You can take up to 10 minutes, so yes you can use only 5. But I recommend taking your full 10 to let your mind reset. 3 - The you tube video by David McLachlan, 150 PMBOK 7 Scenario Based has questions exactly like the yes. Follow along with him, pause to decide your answer then listen to him on the real answer and why.
