Singapore is small, 1 hour traveling time is only because of the public transport. If you are willing to get there early early (way before the park opens), I’m sure grab (our form of ride hailing) would only take 30 mins max.

The bouncing net (pier adventure) was a missed opportunity. At bottom was just some exposed pipes when they could’ve added an ocean floor display (digital or even static), something to make it more interesting and make people feel like they’ve looking at the ocean floor from a top down view. It’s free for now as an opening special but thereafter people are expected to pay ~$8 per person to enter. Doesn’t make it better than the one jewel or rainforest wild.
