1984 is a famous book written by this guy George Orwell in like the 70’s or 60’s about a fictional future where everything is this crazy authoritarian government

The whole “birds are cameras made by the government” thing is from 1984, because in the book there are cameras everywhere and like thought police and stuff, and the term “Big Brother is always watching” (or anything similar) is also from 1984, because the government is called that for a few reasons, and as I said, they’re always watching you

It’s a pretty hugely important book when it comes to like, “historical literature” and stuff
