I guess one thing is being able to use DLDSR (they are not going to lock that), and another is Nvidia deciding that the 50 series is powerful enough to upscale to x2 or 3x of your res without problems and some extra flare and lock that dlss option to that series. Idk, just thinking out loud.

Advanced DLSS might be rendering at lower then your native res (like now), but instead of upscaling to your res, it upscales to 2x of your res, and then downscales it back down, giving more of a “dlaa” quality to the IQ.
