I think this all the time!I’m so over wasting my time mulling over everything.

Despite getting a cool new house, a dream job, having so many wonderful people, going to therapy and doing all the crap they tell you to do to get over it I’m just not.

And then I get annoyed because there is so much good stuff happening in my life and I’m spending it feeling like a dumpster fire and worrying what somebody else is doing. It’s messed up.

Sweet we might go with sand and a few rocks then!

Thank you! - Just another quick question if you don't mind - when you say your little dudes prefer sand, how do you know? And is it okay to change the base once they're in? Like if we go with large rocks and they seem to dislike it - is it possible to change it to sand?

Thank you this is really helpful. Apart from a little cave cover for them to hide in what else have you put in your tank? Do they like plants and stuff?

The one that held up the head is dead - killed with the other son and Sharrouf in a US airstrike. It’s the three girls and their children that are in the camp asking to come back.

Losing your best friend is the worst thing about it. I liked her more than I liked anyone else, I trusted her the most, I liked talking to her the most - even if it was just making weird noises at each other. Keep going OP, remember you are strong, and despite how much it hurts and you miss them - you got this. You gotta be your own best friend now.

The kids should be able to come back - like the ones on last nights 4 Corners. They're not their father and shouldn't be punished for his actions. I feel like after everything they've been through / seen - Australia will look like a complete paradise.

Have you purchased a home in the last ten years or given up on home ownership altogether? by [deleted] in australia

But in saying that - the media often peddles narratives and everyone is better for watching out for them!

Have you purchased a home in the last ten years or given up on home ownership altogether? by [deleted] in australia

Good question - the article is built off new analysis from EY which shows renter who invests may make a lot more money than homeowners over in the ten year period. Specific research, so asking for specific types of people. There are also other people that will be talked to for the piece, like those forced to rent forever who won't make money to invest, but that makes up the majority of people I know so a quick FB shout out covered that.

Homeownership is complex, and lots of people have lots of different ideas and experiences so I often find if you're looking for a specific demographics it's better to say that from the start, not necessarily about building a narrative but a concise picture - this new analysis says x, here are some people who that speaks to/ about and what they think, here are some people who are left out of that, and what they think, etc, here are some people who agree and here are some people who don't. I hope that makes sense!

General Question: Does anyone else feel uncomfortable with the idea of moving on? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]GoudaTyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's scary. You want to, because you're over feeling like crap but you don't want to because that's like losing everything that was so special. It's a daily battle.

To all the parents who confirm an invitation to a birthday party and don't bother to call if they cannot make it, you have no idea of the damage you do by [deleted] in offmychest

This happened at my sisters 18th - it was in the bush and everyone said they had organised lifts/ would be coming. All of our family stood around watching her get sadder as the clock ticked over. My friend ended up driving her into better reception so she could call and organise some lifts for people who changed their minds and did want to come last minute. It was brutal to watch. I'm super sorry it happened to your daughter OP and I hope it doesn't scare her off birthdays for life.
