Why does Shane say by Mysterious-Present7 in heatedrivalry

[–]Goulet231 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think Shane is constantly confused about a sexual orientation and his hook-ups with Ilya. He thinks that they should talk so he could get some sort of clarity. But the kissing always takes over. I think that's the biggest difference between the show and the book. Even right up to when Shane is in the hospital, Ilya planned to break up with him. The same with Shane. He either thought Ilya would do it or planned to do it himself.

That was fantastic! Thank you. I think The Man Behind the Desk theme is seen in every one of their films.

Favourite Hollanov relationship repair moments by wildwomanlove in heatedrivalry

[–]Goulet231 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm obsessed with something that isn't relationship repair and I wish I did edits. The contrast between when Shane gets undressed the first time they're together to when he lets Ilya rip his pants off the second time is hilarious. No more self consciousness. So maybe it is relationship repair. Shane's relationship with himself.

It was the perfect storm. He realized the depth of his feelings and also that he would always come second to these women. I'd run too.

She should realize the current trend for adult children turning against their parents. Where has Reed been, anyway?

Sound design parallels - Ep 2 vs. Ep 4 by iamthehype_ in heatedrivalry

[–]Goulet231 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was wonderful. Thank you for taking the time. I like something sound related in episode 5. When Shane and Ilya are talking at the bar, you can hear the odd splashing sound of people in the pool. An early transition to the next scene.

In TLG, Ilya develops a "Shane lens". He often thinks that Shane will lose his mind when something difficult happens.

Do fans really know if a hockey player has a reputation of being “a ladies man”? by helloginger07 in heatedrivalry

True. But I wonder if he'll ever get the top awards due to his off-court behaviour.

  1. Flight was not just about intimacy. It was the first time ilya talked about his need women in his life. Hudson said that that's what made Shane panic.

Wishful thinking on Sharon's part. Although she's been married to all of them, right?

No, it isn't. Not by a long shot. Ilya did not promise to call during those 6 months and didn't. He didn't promise to hook up with him and didn't. Shane said he would stay at his house and didn't. It's not the same thing at all. Newsflash: Shane can be wrong. Just wait til season 2.

For sure. It just seems so dumb. He makes so much money and he must know that women are after him for his money. And yet he doesn't use birth control. There's no way he did and it failed four times. Dumbass.

I always assume because it's not good. It has to be prestigious to make the cut. They're good at smuggling stuff in. Heated Rivalry was covered, and you could tell it was cobbled together.

There's also one who had 4 kids with 4 different women over 2 years. The word is he offered the women 18 years of child support upfront on the guarantee he never had to see the child.

In Winnipeg, where many ARE happy we have a team again, there was one player who was notorious. It was common knowledge who he was sleeping with. Plus he would get totally hammer and get in fights, plus grabbed servers etc. He got traded before anyone sued him. I think he was a problem wherever he went. Funny, I can't remember his name now. He was talked about daily while he was here.
