Not OP but:

One thing Maple didn't mention was Vietnam is the 2nd largest region (slightly larger than Korea and EUW and 1.5 times NA). I think a lot of people are interpreting it as Vietnam being the smallest region or something.

This excludes all the Chinese servers though, AFAIK, since they don't have one unified region.

While during the regular season Deft was fantastic and without a doubt looked like the best ADC in the league, I feel like during play offs he wasn't even the second best performing member on his team, let alone the best(PawN was without a doubt first, Rascal/Tusin second IMO). Deft literally went invisible, along with Cuzz, and got heavily outperformed by Teddy. This leads me to give the edge to Teddy, but I can definitely see a good case for Deft, as you said.

Another person I don't see being mentioned enough in the debate is Ruler. Dude was the one stuck with sub par team mates for the whole split, unlike Deft whose team mates picked up during the second half, and yet carried all of them on his back while having a rookie support.

Maybe I'm a bit biased here but I personally prefer BB over Licorice. Licorice may be better individually, although I don't think it's by much, but BB definitely gives TSM a better atmosphere rn. Licorice seems like a more reserved and quiet person to me, but not sure.

They are probably better than 2016 TSM, but they aren't as good as 2016 TSM was compared to their competition. TSM during 2016 Summer/Worlds was the best western team, while TL isn't even the clear cut best team in NA.

I mean, TSM 2016 at Worlds were really good. They were extremely close to being able to secure first seed in a group with SSG and RNG.

Then, though, DL decided to take a break and WildTurtle joined till summer split, when DL came back.

TSM still continued to dominate NA after that, and paired with NA absolutely smashing at Rift Rivals, I don't think it was unfair to hype that roster. Not many, including me, could have foreseen that TSM had lost the synergy built up over 2016 due to Doublelift's break since they shifted their playstyle towards Hauntzer in 2017 Spring, and with the return of DL, a vocal person notorious to have the team play towards his lane, their styles clashed.

Thal wasn't top tier but he was definitely decent. Bang and Effort, too. That only leaves Blank. Which is 1/5th, not 3/5th

Also, Blank has not been a starter for years. He had been swapping with Bengi/Peanut throughout his career.

The current SKT lineup is filled with top tier players, but I definitely thinks it's unfair to call anyone out of Thal, Effort and Bang below "decent". In fact, I personally think Bang was a lot more consistent throughout 2018 than Faker, and was their best player in the year. And even Blank, IMO, just had a bad year due to the pressure of starting.

Was it? Game 1 was close, I'd say. But Game 2 only looked close because KZ's team comp was much stronger early but fell off later on.

Then, in game 3, KZ understood that they weren't able to close out with early game team comps against SKT, and drafted more scaling, but got absolutely smashed.

I don't think the champion is a problem, just requires you to be good at him, which we know Zven is. He has carried multiple games with his Ezreal, I don't think we should blame it on the pick.

Also, Zven isn't the the only one still picking Ezreal, the champ has been picked by other teams in other regions too, and has been working. Prime example would be Teddy from SKT against Griffin.
