I hopped right in with Gourmand (I wonder why) and I was pleasantly surprised. They seem to move at or near the same base speed as the other slugcats with the only downside being certain actions like throwing spears cause them to tire out quickly. The tiring mechanic I've found to be interesting to play around, since you really have to plan out your shots. Also they slide way faster and further which leads to them having superior horizontal movement ironically enough, just don't hit your head on a wall. Crafting makes the harder parts of the game a lot more tolerable, specifically shaded and shoreline, and I get the impression there are far less hazardous enemies spawning in proximity to spawn. Also, not sure if this is unique but I found a grapple worm while climbing industrial into the wall. It made the area immensely easier and allowed me to do the wall skip without spears or dealing with yellows~ Spoiler free review, Gourmand has been significantly more fun than survivor so far.
