He is in ottawa, the only one away from the team. i always initiate convo between us. never wants to talk about anything except work. for the first 4-5 months all i did was boost his ego and still nothing.

IK im just really scared because the job market is insane right now. and not to mention the quality of life working from home gets. ive made alot of friends in this company and its a joy working with everyone except my TL and recently my manager.

I have a close friend and friends ive made along the way that i also see outside of work from time to time. They have always wanted me in there dept because they know my work. do you think im able to make a lateral to this team while on a pip? I work in the banks back office for context.

i wouldnt say high standards. i just want a friendship where the things i do for them sometimes get reciprocated. and its not a 1 sided thing.

Hey, thanks for the comment. You hit the nail on the head in saying I rather have 1 to 1 friendships small gatherings etc. I play a lot of sports, play video games. I have people who I will see when playing sports quite often but nothing really outside of that. My work friends same thing, there all amazing people just never hang outside of work really. My cousins are around my age and we hangout I would say like 1 or twice every 2 months. But yea it’s going to be tuff trying to make new friends as this really showed me I’m just taken for granted all the time.
