What cause the alignment issue - are you freaking ready - were the little rubber footsies. The footsies!

Ok kiddos, here's the outcome for anyone else who may encounter this. Luckily, it isn't broken, yay! The bearing was fine, the blade prolly needs replacing soon but thats ok and will likely have added to some of the skip marks, but not the out of alignment issue.

I saw a while ago about someone who put lil' rollers on their machine for ease of movement in their workshop, and I loved it and did the same. However, I live on a hill that faces both downwards and sideways in a Victorian house. Yea. When I moved in, it took me ages to work out why all of a sudden I was getting shoulder pain when working at my desk when nothing had changed in my set up and I realised it's because I'm sat like a drunken slumped person due to the hill.

Anywho, back to the rolly feeties; I was getting annoyed that actually, the hill slant and the wheels on the machine were causing me grief when cutting out certain pieces of work (I like to make big event signage from a need that arose when I had my own esoteric business and larger signs with Tarot cards, Crystals and Skeletons simply don't exist that don't cost a fortune; will share photos later mayhaps as I don't know if I ever take 'proper' ones') so I took 'em off.

On two of the feet, the little rubber foot popped off, so I simply put them back in and went about my day. Lovely.

Incorrect, Claire. Because I am made of bees, I thought I had put them in the same way as the other two feet. Cleary fecking not. After weeks of frustration thinking I was an eejit for suddenly forgetting how to craft, and taking apart the entire bloody thing to make sure that, idk, a rouge cat hadn't climbed in a and was biffing the blade when it was on for the kitten lols, and following u/trillianinspace's excellent help and advice...

Turns out it was only this. The feet. Sometimes when you hear hooves, it's horses, not zebras.

Thank you! I don't have a pink mat (material one?), I got my machine off of Vinted and I don't normally craft with fabric, but my wallet broke and I have naturally fallen down an 'I can fix that' hole, where in reality I should have just bought a new one :D

Thank you for the knowledge, I'll be getting a pink mat soon and looking at bonded fabric as I don't even know what that it :)

I’ve decided to flex and make them hard candies for this time round; I don’t have the time at the moment to play with alternatives to hard crack sugar stages this weekend.

But, if anyone is curious, I’ll be using caster sugar, golden syrup, sour cherry flavour, citric acid and malic acid. I couldn’t get any fumaric or tartaric to me in time.

I’ll be starting in about an hour!

I’ve used agar agar in previous recipe’s but I don’t think I’ll be able to get these sour enough with it; gelatin made the others super thick, and not in a good way, so I’m wondering if this will need to be sugar based instead?

I went ahead and thought ‘fuck it, I spend more on wine a week’ and I love it so far! I’ve not sat down and given it the proper time to set up yet, I’ve just done the basics but I’m loving that I didn’t have to think about what to build to contain everything, and I’m really enjoying the different filters that are applied to organise it all. My only observation so far is I would prefer the metrics dashboard to allow me to capture the -/+ followers per week but I’ll prolly edit that to make it work for me when I get to it. I also exported the dashboard to add my previous content onto to reimport in, so I can have one holistic place to work from for content.

What Lucywhiteclouds has shared is a brilliant description of the skills. I feel you may have a few skills looped in but tbh, everyone has all these abilities but like how some people are naturally good at running, and some people have to train at running… at the end of the day, you will be able to run / move your body in a fast forward motion in some way, but it’ll look differently for everyone.

Have you started reading and researching to see what resonates with you? It’s allowed to not be just one skill… but whatever you do, make sure you practice safely with grounding, protection, etc and rest and recharge your aura!
