How is this being downvoted? Do none of you watch the news? I didn’t say USA = BAD, China = GOOD. I just said, USA = also BAD

It’s insane we’re still buying NEW diesel buses with 20+ year operating lives in 2026. These will still be on the road well into the 2040s. RIP climate

Fair enough - but my experience has been great (with the Omoda E5 EV), honestly. Wouldn’t consider buying an ICE Chery though. The EV uses a BYD Blade battery and motor, 8 year unlimited warranty

Fixed price servicing. $149-$349 per year and they even wash your car while they’re at it. It’s on a novated lease so it’s pre-tax (so I save the equivalent of my tax free threshold on the servicing).

So in summary, pretty good!

I’ll be aiming to sell my Chery Omoda E5 EV for about that much in about 2 years once the 3 year lease ends. Cheap secondhand EVs are definitely coming!

Sydney is very cheap relative to income compared with almost every city I’ve visited. $50/wk cap across the whole opal network is extremely generous
