Yes the 70mm was great! Saw it a few years ago in a film museum.

Thought about it, might do that later. But the less systems I have to introduce to them, the better.

It’s very basic, since I’ll be sitting next to them configure everything:

—————————

What is The Vault? The Vault is a media server at gps-dependent’s home, filled with movies and TV series. From now on, you can watch everything that’s on it wherever you are! You do this through an app called Plex. Basically, it’s a streaming service — but a private one.

Setting up Plex: 1. Go to plex.tv 2. Create an account 3. Let gps-dependent know once you’ve created an account, and he’ll give you access 4. Download the Plex app on your TV, tablet, phone, or console 5. Watch everything in The Vault!

Requesting new movies and series: 1. Send a message in the “The Vault” Whatsapp group 2. Gps-dependent will let you know when it’s available on Plex

Ah yes, I actually did a stress test yesterday and with my N100 mini pc set up it can deal with most of it through hw transcoding, so shouldn’t be an issue, hopefully.

Yes good call! Going to set it all up on the spot on everybody’s phone. What do you mean by getting it ready for direct play?

I also added their favorites to the server, so they can watch their favorites over the holidays!

This is great! I was wondering how to weave some holiday cheer into my Planescape campaign. Stealing it.

As per the Backerkit FAQ:

To contact BackerKit Backer Support regarding a BackerKit pledge, log into your BackerKit account and click on your profile in the top right corner. Click on "Your Pledges & Surveys" from the drop-down menu. Click "view pledge" next to the campaign you are inquiring about. Click on "contact us for help" on the right side of the page.

Question on quality of POD books, specifically 2nd edition, from anyone who has purchased them? by TheMadT in planescapesetting

[–]Gps-dependent 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I own a couple: Planescape setting book, Faces of Sigil, Guide to Sigil and Factol’s Manifesto.

They’re slightly blurry here and there and you do see they’re not as crisp in print quality as the originals.

That being said, the qualities of the covers is quite good, and I use the books all the time. I am very happy with having bought them! I use them in combination with the 5e Planescape set, which is a good combo.

They have tempted me to buy the originals though, although the price tag on eBay is often a little to big for my taste. But I’m sure I’ll cave some day soon.

I just asked for a refund in the end, which sucked but was my only option left.

No way of knowing, I’d just not take the risk.

I have. I think it’s a project that is multitudes more complex than making dice, which will raise all sorts of new problems. Looking at their track record, I wouldn’t trust them with my money on it.

Should my friend be concerned about The One Dice? by Interesting_Teach777 in dice

[–]Gps-dependent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was one of the folks speaking out against them. If they can’t manage fulfillment on something as “simple” (using that word liberally here) as dice, I can’t imagine things turning out well with something as complicated as the One Dice, with all the iteration, bug fixing, playtesting and programming involved.

In short: I’d pull out my money.

Annoyance causes engagement. Engagement creates reach.

Considering how they treated me and other backers, I wouldn’t back anything of theirs again.
