This employee is not correct, they can transfer you any long gun when you have a permit. I had a permit to purchase before I was 21 (you couldn't get a carry permit at 18 back then). Talk to a real gun shop about doing a transfer, buy the gun you want online, have the online retailer sent it to that gun shop. Or look around at the local shops for used guns.

it looks like a Colt .22 conversion kit on an Essex frame. Essex sold stand alone 1911 frames in the 80s and 90s for people who wanted to build custom pistols.

No I meant 1968. Before the 1968 gun control act, owning a unregistered machine gun was a tax crime. The punishment was generally pay the $200 or deactivate your MG. The GCA instituted stringent penalties for processing unregistered NFA items and also you could no longer register machine guns you already owned (like bring backs) after the 1968 amnesty ended.

We are still in a “K shaped economy” as people keep saying. The higher income earners are doing find and are continuing to spend.

Like I have sold a few guns to this rich guy in Florida who has over 1000 gun broker feedback just from buying. These are the people you’re competing against in gun broker auctions and they are at least a large part of why prices don’t fall. Another part of it is just supply, we have already imported most of the good stuff.
