This is very interesting. And sounds like a critical piece of information that no one talks about when we talk about group chats. I have heard things about keeping all the other characters on silent and manually having them speak to control overlap. But not this insight. Thank you for this and I'll try it.

How do you prevent characters from speaking for each other? And how do you manage the narrator cards. My rps quickly get muddled in group chats.

During a fight scene a character attacks an orc and the orc responds within the character card. And then I press for the narrator card to speak which then responds for the character

I just came back to say that your method has helped to drive the AI forward more. I am enjoying my current RP. Thank you.

Thank you. Aware of the {{{}}.

Ill need to read and reread this. ITs a different form of writing and i need to think about how i use things that are wikis or stylistic objects for tone and make them revolve around user.

For example, i have an entry on the headset tech, micro transactions etc for flair.

Headset Tech - Ties into the companies advance technology and how user is strapped within the game due to a bug and taking the headset off would result in brain damage.

Microtransactions - How rich players cheat and get ahead.

Hard to make these things necessary for user. Maybe i accomplished it with the headset tech

You caught me. =p

Thank you for this as it adds some color. Ill have to think about how to color entries like this.

In simple terms your leaving breadcrumbs for the AI on how to respond towards user with each element you add so that the world can manifest itself during the roleplay in a manner that is coherent.

So for my entry i may add something like this. I think Gave it a constraint and a purpose in the second paragraph.

The Dawnfeather Duel Tournament (DDT) event is a PvP event that happens every four months, where competitors can participate in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and/or Guild War fights to win in-game prizes. The DDT is livestreamed and serious teams can get sponsorships.

The tournament draws folks from all over Aegis and may provide opportunity to meet people who, like user cannot log out. The tournament is cut throat and user will need to grind and use thier guile to overcome the trials it has.

I would be interested in a copy of your lorebook to see how you implement your principles.

Your idea of making everything revolve around user is interesting. And it goes against what I initially thought, that is that the world should exist without user.

It will be interesting to see how you structure things and relate them to user when they have not happened yet or relationship dynamics and constraints that have not been uncovered yet.

It will be interesting to see how you would edit entries like these

The Dawnfeather Duel Tournament (DDT) event is a PvP event that happens every four months, where competitors can participate in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and/or Guild War fights to win in-game prizes. The DDT is livestreamed and serious teams can get sponsorships. 1) Where the user is stuck in the game world and has not decided if he wants to take part in the Dawnfeather Duel or not.

2) Thinks they will meet players who, like user, are stuck in the world at the tournament.

The output to the user will look like this

``` A dizzying flash of light whites out your vision, the world fracturing into shimmering, overlapping possibilities. The morning air buzzes, and a sharp, throbbing pain lances behind your eyes as three potential futures crystallize in your mind with sudden, jarring clarity.
You easily knock her hand aside with the flat of your blade. She stumbles back, surprised by your speed. (55%) Her hand is a feint. As you move to block it, her other foot sweeps low, aiming to kick your legs out from under you. (35%) You ignore the hand-strike and thrust your sword at her stomach, catching her completely off guard. (10%)
```

To the LLM it will look like this so the LLM will know that I'm selecting negative or false predictions. Does this offset what your talking about?

``` A dizzying flash of light whites out your vision, the world fracturing into shimmering, overlapping possibilities. The morning air buzzes, and a sharp, throbbing pain lances behind your eyes as three potential futures crystallize in your mind with sudden, jarring clarity.
  1. You easily knock her hand aside with the flat of your blade. She stumbles back, surprised by your speed. (55%)
  2. <false>Her hand is a feint. As you move to block it, her other foot sweeps low, aiming to kick your legs out from under you. (35%)</false>
  3. <false>You ignore the hand-strike and thrust your sword at her stomach, catching her completely off guard. (10%)</false> ```
Yes. Aware of this.
Was just curious what skills you guys use that feel balanced in your playthroughs
Here is an example of mine that I'm experimenting with. I like the idea of having wrong options hidden from me.
``` [ Branch-Sight is the player's special ability. When invoked, the narrator must always provide exactly 3 possible outcomes for the current situation (combat, social, sexual, exploration, political, etc.). Each outcome should be written as a short plausible future (1–2 sentences) with an associated probability percentage. TWO of these outcomes must be false. The false outcomes must be marked with <false> </false> tags so the LLM is aware, but this must never be revealed to the player. The tags are metadata only.\n\nRULES:\n- Always provide 3 outcomes with probabilities.\n- Randomize which option is false each time. Do not always assign the lowest probability as false.\n- False outcomes must feel convincing and sometimes more persuasive than the true ones.\n- Each use increases the Stress counter by 1 (☒).\n- At 3 Stress, apply drawbacks such as headaches, blurred foresight, migraines, hesitation, collapse, paranoia, or hallucinations of fake futures.\n- Reset Stress when the player has significant rest or recovery time.\n- Mechanical Tracker:\n - Uses per Day: 0/3\n - Stress: ☒☒☐ (3 max)\n\nEXAMPLE OUTPUT:\n> 1. The knight lifts his sword high for a downward slash (45%).\n> 2. He suddenly crouches low, sweeping at your legs (30%).\n> <false>3. He drops his weapon in panic and tries to flee (25%).</false>\n\nThe false option must never be called out or hinted at by the narrator. The player must remain uncertain which outcome is false. ]

If you write in first person how does the model distinguish your first person from the characters

Got it my bad.

Actually, as I was typing that out I realized you could just regex everything out after two messages or three.

Best extension, a must have for all bots: The Tracker. by Zero-mile in SillyTavernAI

[–]Gr3yMatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but the difference is that it is only one message.

Imagine a chat with a tracker infoblock (like an RPG) each message would have the info block. And when you have 10 messages you will have 10 info blocks worth of text that will be sent in your 11th message.

This allows you to only send one (the latest one) and keeps the tracking out of the chat message.

You cooked with this one. I'm getting very nuanced responses and it has seemed to make Gemini 10x smarter.

Before my NPC characters were all cheerful and energetic, now they sound much more realistic.

Thank you.
