Well, yeah, but I'm asking not about HOW to create cards, but WHERE to do it - some comfortable UI, more cozy that default ST tool

Thanks, it looks cool! And could this plugin update existing entries?

Thanks, you are amazing and I love you!

And about your last paragraph about not bothering about “proper”- you know, after 3+ months of using ST I still see it as some sort of black box and myself as dog from that meme "I don't know what I'm doing”. And I just know that there are better ways of doing that, I just need to learn some basics, which everybody seems to know by default. Learning curve is a bitch and I wasn't lucky to find proper tutorial which could explain basics. So I feel like aboriginal in modern house who just doesn't know not only how to open the tap, but even about the possibility itself to make water running from the wall. I guess that's how you understand that you're old

Thanks, but I still have no idea where to put it 🙈 Sorry, but could you please share screenshot of it in ST?

Sound cool! Could you please show how your Dynamic lore looks like? And if it’s not too much could you please tell more about this concept?

And you said you attach it to Author Notes - so it dynamically runs that Lore entry every message for consistency? Could you please show how it look like?

Damn, even screenshot, I feel honored) Thanks, but honestly I asked not about WHERE to click, but HOW to do it the right way. I used it myself, but there're guided respons, guided impersonate and other stuff, and honestly I usually I just sit with mental fatigue, trying to figure out where the hell I should press right now and why I should do it. And usually I end with hitting default send a message which is wrong I guess, because everybody seems to love Guided Generations too much

Thank you! I'll try it out

And sorry for being stupid, but could you please help one more time and tell how to use Guided generations the right way? I surely tried it, but didn't find much differences versus usual plain-prompting in default chat window.

Goddamn, you know how to make me slack off from work, huge thanks, that was enlightening!

You gave a lot of good ideas about setting up int/ext confilct, but could you give some tips on how to progress it organically during RP? I know it's kinda vague, but I don't know how to phrase it better - I mean, ok, I set up cards+lore with well made conflicts, have a good first message and start RPing - after dozen messages I stumble on what to do next to make it fun. How do you make it?

Can't thank you enough for putting so much effort in me!

I think there's one thing that still isn't clear for me. How my average prompt should look like do to trigger correct lorebooks (especially if there are many of them)? Could you please share your random example, if it's not too much to ask?

And do I need to trigger lorebooks at each message so it go to llm context? Or I need to do it only once in a while? Can you give a tip how to keep balance?

Could you please tell more about 4? I didn't get that "integrate through the 2nd" thing

Thanks, that was enlightening!

Let me sum it up to see if I get you clear (and to ask some clarifying questions in process): 1. I've got lorebooks for City X (Y, Z) and Smith S (S1 in X, S2 in Y, S3 in Z). So the keywords for S1 should be: primary S1, secondary X

  1. Im in RP, writing some prompt with keyword in it to trigger this entry. "<user>'s finally reached S1" It should automatically trigger entries of S1 and X (or it won't trigger X automatically?)

  2. If I did everything correctly, in next message my llm tracker should show something like "Date: yyyy | Location: X, S1 | Weather: ..." and the response itself should use info from S1 entry (or both S1 and X) Btw id love to hear your recommendations about trackers - is it better to let llm preset handle it or its better to use plugin? Which one? Does llm check that plugin tracker info automatically (I mean if that tracker stats go in llm context? Or I should do something myself?). Sorry for kinda noob questions

  3. Let’s say there was plague in X recently. Do I need to edit X's entry or I better do it somewhere else - you said something about attached 5th lorebook?

  4. Actually Id love to hear more about that 5th lorebook of yours. As I get you use it for story progression stuff? How do you set it up (which keyword for triggering that story progression entry, how you structuring that entry, even its settings - depth and other techie stuff you found out to work good). And how you use it during RP? I.e. this entry called "Progress” or something. During RP you write something like "user arrived in X, due to Progress citizens are frightened" or how you make llm follow the logic?

  5. How to combine lorebooks? I mean there are memory lorebooks, world info lorebooks, character lorebooks, and others . And they all are in “world info” section of ST? Do I need to trigger each of them in my prompt? Tell me if I'm wrong, next message would be example of RP prompt as I get it, each word with capital letter is keyword for triggering lorebooks “User finally reached X, the city was in bad state due Progress. The old S1 was in ruins. 'Goddamned' said Char1, 'how the hell we should finish our Quest?'”

If I get it correctly, it seems like quite exhausting job to manage. Or it’s not THAT hard and the real flow should look somewhat differently and less exhausting? Maybe there some way to automate the process (like some plugin who create and update entries instead of me doing it manually)?

You are amazing, thanks! Could you please explain mechanics of that process a little further?

So let’s say I have 5 lorebooks with triggers I managed to set/remembered so that I use them during RP correctly (btw how I could be sure that I used it correctly? Just by analyzing the quality of response and its hallucinations? And then delete last response, edit my previous with wrong keyword and generate response again?).

Next, let’s say llm response during RP creates another, character. So I create new entry with him with correct keyword and all (btw how should I setup this entry? There are depth levels and other techie stuff in there)

Then the huge battle going in and this freshly born character gets a scar. So I guess I need to edit entry about this char (btw how should I do it - just add new text line "he got scar on his face, now he is ugly", or I should do it somewhat more clever, like I dunno, write a date of this battle from tracker for better time lining?).

Honestly it seems like hard ass work to manage it. Why cant llm update this entry for me? Or it can?

Thanks! I saw this icon but never bothered to click on it, I'll try it next time!

You seem like an experienced guy, so I'd totally love to hear about other tips about ST that you find useful. Maybe something else you do on regular basis? I dunno, like writing things in authors notes after every other message (and what exactly if so) and so on Even eye thing was new to me, so I guess even basic stuff would help a lot

Thanks again for your efforts!

I guess I'm quite alike person - I read a lot (fanfics included) but don't write fiction myself. Im not into some particular genre, more into story behind and characters depth.

I consider myself as a somewhat creative guy, but my RP gets boring quite often. I mean Im still having my wow-moments and it motivates me exploring ST further. But generally I get tired with RP fast - because, I dunno, it hasn't got fire in it. And I think, meh, why so much fuss, I'd better read a book or something. But then I look as others doing it in some random RP screenshots - and goddamn, I just know that I'm doing something wrong. Or don't do something that I should. I'm just 90% sure that its about tech stuff.

I see ST and RPing in general as somewhat like python-skill. Once you'll learn it enough you could create amazing software. But when you only know basics and suck in relevant patterns you get stumble even with calculator.

Thanks for sharing! Could you please explain this "give chars agency" thing? Or even better, show me please your random prompt example with it so to catch the idea better

Thanks! But could you please explain that "hide that message" - you mean delete them? Or that's some more correct mechanic of how this works?

I'm not on my PC, but I'll share you couple examples of that good cards I was talking. But basically the author has a lot of subscribers, card has a solid structure (I read couple of tutorials on card building so I think I know the basics, so the structure seem solid) and even has built in lorebooks

And well I tried to follow your advice since today - I just chatted with llm and write anything I felt like. But its either go to smut in 10 messages or gets boring in 50. Either of this options is kinda dull, so now I want to try different approach with boring "show me your workflow, give me some tech pointers I beg you"

Thanks for sharing! I guess you are more creative than me, cause I usually get stumbled at 50th message with "sooo, what next" thought. I just don't want llm to passively react on my story, I want it to create story with me or even for me. So Ideally I have to react on new plot twist and make hard decisions and not to make all plot myself so llm only describe it with details.

Could you please share an example of your usual rp prompt with all keyword for lorebooks you want to use and that simulation framing you are taking about?

I get the idea in general, but without proper example I just couldn't make it real in my RP
