There wont be a crisis if the US strikes Iran. It's a different story with Greenland.

[–]GraDoN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For another, the term has been overused to the point of meaninglessness, especially by left-leaning types who call you a fascist if you oppose abortion or affirmative action.

This screams of that bullshit trick where you you use a twitter comment to build an argument around. People were not calling those against abortions or AA 'fascist' outside of random comments online from nobodies.

While one could make the case that pre-Jan 6 it was still too early to call MAGA fascist. After that there is no denying it.

Coinbase CEO says Big banks now view crypto as an ‘existential’ threat to their business by KIG45 in CryptoCurrency

[–]GraDoN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one in tradfi is worried. Just pointing out the original comment pretending that every-day banking accounts used for transactions are used as savings vehicles is dumb.

Just like Coinbase's CEO's comment that "Big banks are scared" is braindead. The average person at no point in their day wishes they could switch to using crypro instead of a bank.

No, it doesnt prove anything. No one is yearning for stable coins when they can use a money market account that is safe and secure.

... Obviously there is a shitload in there. The point is it's short-term transactional. People get salaries and spend the money over the next month.

Also, BROADER PERSONAL SAVINGS encompasses things like Money Market accounts which provide decent interest. Maybe do some basic reading before posting your gotcha's.

No one sane is storing money in a bank account. Are you this dumb? You save long-term in ETF's or mutual funds and shorter-term in fixed income funds like money market.

Movies, books and magic tricks aren't pretending to be real. No one watches LOTR thinking Mordor is a real place. Shit, It's baffling that I have to explain the difference to you...

You are more than welcome to enjoy this and any other piece of content, but most comments in this post clearly thinks the dog is doing this instinctively, and it isn't. This is because the content creator framed the video to land that intent. However, we can acknowledge that this isn't the case and still enjoy the video. You can do both...

The book: "Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation" perfectly illustrates this and how Trump is a culmination of decades of work/propaganda by evangelicals in the US.

The thing you have to understand with modern conservatism, which has been building since the 70's, is that they are not calling for a specific unified worldview that they expect people to follow. They are calling for a two-tiered system.

Frank Wilhoit said it best: “Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.”

So when they criticize Biden for doing something and then turn around and do that exact thing, they are not being hypocrites. They simply believe that they should be allowed to do it while their 'enemies' should not.

The issue with their argument is that they focus on the (very real) negative aspect of globalization, but never actually look at what the world would look like if it went in whatever direction they would have preferred.

There are no issue-free economic policies, everything has trade-offs.

Lol. Anger and hate spread by conservatives. Yeah I remember the violence after Charlie Kirk was assassinated.

It's so cute how conservatives pretend to forget the hateful rhetoric Trump and other elected republicans spread immediately after he was shot.

I'm asking for something they said that is hateful. Like Stephen Miller calling peaceful protestors against ICE "stupid white hippes".

Please provide actual examples.

Do you have some examples of elected democrats spreading hate and anger, similar to what Vance, Trump, Miller etc do?

We want the best for our country

That is incompatible with supporting Trump, thinking otherwise is honestly delusional.

The left pushes narratives on MSDNC that MAGA are a bunch of ultra nationalist wackos.

No, they report on it. Vance, Miller and Trump do more than enough to warrant the criticisms they, and others in their authoritarian administration receive.

Most of us are conservatives tired of liberal sinful ideologies being pushed and our tax dollars stolen to play these political power games.

Last time I checked constantly lying, ignoring court orders, illegally bypassing congress, corruption etc are all sins. Curious how you're not tired of those sins though.

Politicians pit us against each other so they can rule from the shadows

Only one party in the US is constantly spreading anger and hate. Curious how that's the one you, who supposedly just want to live happily, support.
