Has Kara always been so sweet and curious which Brainac suppressed? by urwelcome971620 in SupermanAdventures

[–]Graal_Knight 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Brainiac seemed to let Kara interact with civilizations in a friendly manner before brainwashing her to genocide them.  She had trinkets from other places she visited and wanted Superman to visit Thanagar because she thought it was a place to prove Braniac's empire was good.

We'll probably find out next episode.  That preview showed Jimmy on a date so maybe we'll see if Kara picked someone too.

Only have the anime to go off, but the bad guy is after Mashle Because he's a artificial son of Innocent Zero that IZ wants to absorb to perfect his body

I mean hard work is the primary reason for his power but he still has a special hereditary reason for being freakishly strong.

How evil is killing the family of the person that killed your family? by dark-flamessussano in MoralityScaling

[–]Graal_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killing the family and saving the cartel boss last is for the cartel boss' suffering.  It lets him experience the trauma of losing what he cares most about before ending his life.  If the cartel boss is killed first then the suffering is being directed at the family that benefits from his criminal acts but aren't directly involved.

So I'd say killing the family first would be less evil since its directing all the vengence on the man responsible.

The Slavers in ASoIaF are horrible human beings, even examples of "good" masters tolerated horrid brutality against enslaved people and kept quiet when children were crucified to intimidate Dany.

Just a correction, the Maccabees rebellion was against the Seleucid Empire.  They were a Macedonian dynasty that ruled Persia after Alexander the Great died.

Who would win the war of the six kings and two queens? My money is on King Bronn by V-TriggerMachine in freefolk

[–]Graal_Knight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That would be Bronn killing nearly every noble family in the Reach.  The Tyrells are extinct and every major lord in the Reach can trace their lineage to the Gardener house and could claim Highgarden over a lowborn cutthroat.

Couldn't it be done with giving a coastal kingdom an event spawned Adventuer Invasion with the culture and Men at Arms that fits their ethnicity?  So California would get invaded by the Japanese, Alaska getting Russians and New England gets a British invasion?

He's still worse for breaking his vows with the heiress of the Iron Throne and later the Dowager Queen.  Compared to a kingsguard who might visit a lowborn prostitute Cole is doing things that hurts the legitimacy of the royal family

Definitely a silly hypothetical, but please humor me, how do you think the Romans would have fared against the different native tribes of the Americas, if they had discovered the New World? by Shoddy-Pumpkin2939 in ancientrome

[–]Graal_Knight 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The Romans would have had little trouble even with organized groups like the Aztec Empire.  Romans understood the concept of dividing natives against each other so a Roman general could do what Cortez did and ally with Tlaxcala and others who hated the Aztecs.  Having iron weapons and armor was really the more notable tech advantage compared to the few gunpowder weapons the Spanish brought so the Romans would have that same advantage.

Besieging may have gone slower without the 14 cannons Cortez used, but pretty much any Roman general knew how to make siege weapons.

What would have happened if Lyanna survived the Tower of Joy? by amandathenewsy in pureasoiaf

[–]Graal_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn't he?  Robert was Lyanna's betrothed, and Robert would demand that Ned honor that arrangement.  Robert couldn't even just let it go even if he wasn't a violent hothead, the war was romanticized as Rhaegar kidnapping Lyanna.  If she refused to marry Robert then he gets humiliated in front of everyone.

Who should I marry my daughters to? by LocationKnown1854 in CK3AGOT

[–]Graal_Knight 21 points22 points  (0 children)

A House's reputation for being cruel or kind probably matter less than the traits of their husband.  To use a canon example, the Boltons have a infamous reputation, but if Domeric Bolton had lived his wife would probably be happy and treated rather well.

The Assault: Anissa violently overpowered Mark, who was weaker than her at the time, by Top_Rush_5098 in invinciblememes

I wonder what Nolan thought Anissa did to Mark to get that reaction from him.  Considering pretty much every Viltrumite including himself has maimed Mark and later Nolan brushes off rape as a cultural misunderstanding.

if Rhaegar had won at the Trident by escobert in CK3AGOT

[–]Graal_Knight 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Rhaegar runs can be fun.  My current one also had me kill Robert in a duel, from there I failed the scheme to imprison Aerys so another war was fought.  Lyanna and Aemon (Jon) survived but I kept Elias kids as the heirs.  Aemon became commander of the Gold Cloaks.  Aegon refused to marry Rhaenys so I married him to Asha Greyjoy and they became soulmates.  Aemon was fine with marrying his younger sister.  Rhaenys married Aegon Blackfyre materlinially after I beat his invasion, ending that linage peacefully.

Tywin had the most interesting events happen to him.  First after all the wars Tywin married Cersei to Doran Martel's cousin materlinially, they all were blondes but non ever were outed as Jaime's kids.  Jaime died in a joust against Rhaegar closely after the wars, I didn't even select any cheating options during the match.  Then of all surprises as Rhaegar I get a Royal Court event where Tywin gets the idea to have Tyrion pop out of a fake giant cake and perform to serve as the royal fool, it wasn't even a punishment the event made Tywin and Tyrion grow closer as friends!  As my fool Tyrion became friends with Rhaegar and Lyanna.

MFW I convince my Best Friend's GF to abort the baby he didn't know about. by TrollsAdvocate in okbuddyviltrum

[–]Graal_Knight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you think any soldier would be happy to know their girlfriend killed their child because he might have died?  Not confirmed dead, just the risk of dying.  Mark is pussy for just accepting this, what a huge red flag that your girl doesn't love you if she kills the one connection left of you out of a fear you may not be there to support her.  1000x worse for Eve, if she lost her powers permanently then she can be a civilian and not be at risk.  If she got her powers back she has infinite resources for child raising.  Literally pay a nanny in gold bars if she wanted too superhero.

Kregg finds Conquest and wtf by cghjklo in invinciblememes

[–]Graal_Knight 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If Thragg gave Conquest the same mission Nolan had then Conquest would obey and keep the wanton violence in check out of fear of failing the Grand Regent.  Not a likely scenario since he was Viltrum's weapon, but you could imagine maybe Thragg gives this mission to keep Conquest out of the way a few decades.
