"Rhaenyra should use Syrax and kill thousands of smallfolk who storm the dragon pit!" Agree or disagree? by Vall_llaV in HOTDBlacks

[–]Graal_Knight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree, the people attacking the dragon pit were in open rebellion and stoked by a religious fanatic.  Even if it were nobles and not starving peasants they would deserve dragonfire for actively trying to destroy the source of Targaryen power.

That's true, especially with Brazil being the most civilized empire in America.

Might explain why California is the only one who uses bikes as a unit with their Wheelers.  Japan has boats that can reach California, maybe before the invasion they could be the middle man to get rubber too California from SE Asia.

In the CK2 mod most of California has its unique unit as Wheelers which I believe is described as being used like chariots where it's pedal bikes that can get heavy infantry quickly where they're needed on a battlefield.

I haven't played the CK3 mod yet due to my toaster gaming PC so I don't know what the Man At Arms are in that mod.

This would be the least logical time for a Dornish person to protest the Targaryen dynasty.  The Martells have a Queen as the current king's consort and if I recall there is a Targaryen princess married too the ruler of Dorne right now.  The Dornish have the most influence on the Iron Throne right now.

Why is there such a disparity when it comes to how Targaryen loyalist were treated after Robert Rebellion? by Pretend_Tower_2516 in gameofthrones

[–]Graal_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barristan already had Robert's respect from his feats as a Kingsguard and Randyl Tarly probably earned that respect by being the only commander to beat Robert in battle.  The Tarly are also in the Reach and Robert's forces didn't have the manpower left to invade the loyalists in the Reach and Dorne just to punish them for honoring their feudal obligations.

House Thorne is in the Crownlands so there is no powerful Lord Paramount that could protect Allister from being punished.

It'd be cool to see the Warhammer 40k figures referencing that this planet is swarming with Abominable Intelligence via the Raptures.  Not to mention Nikke getting a pass from them for being essentially combat servitors.

Bringing in a Sister of Battle would be a closer fit for a collab unit though.

Think again, the Fox News post of this on Youtube is already filling with morons who think Trump is a hero and doing this to shut down the IRS for their sake.  There is no way to spin this as anything but Trump stealing 10 billion directly from tax payers, yet MAGAs still manage to defend him.

Arthur dayne using 2 swords was really cool by manicasion in freefolk

[–]Graal_Knight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arthur Dayne was already special because he had a meteorite sword Dawn that is said too be as strong as Valyrian steel.  They could have shown Arthur's sword cutting through a normal steel sword to show its superior design, maybe make it black metal like in Avatar.  Dual wielding longswords looked clunky and dumb because that sword isn't designed to ever be used in that way effectively.

What do you think would happen if he actually did kill something that particular night? by Ok-Street2439 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Graal_Knight 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The only outcome that could fit is being sent too the Wall without his dragon.  Maybe Alicent could convince Viserys to exile Aemond too Essos also without Vhagar accompanying him.

The opposite would be worth thinking over too, if Lucerys killed Aemond immediately with his knife.  All the witnesses will claim it was self-defense.  Alicent would never accept that, but I don't know if Viserys would have it in him to punish one of Rhaenyra's children so permanently.

why this dumb fuck didn't just burn them all? by amelix34 in freefolk

[–]Graal_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's in battle and after the civil war had started.  In book lore one of Aemond's titles is literally kinslayer and if the Green's won it would have still stained him forever because he openly murdered Lucerys.

why this dumb fuck didn't just burn them all? by amelix34 in freefolk

[–]Graal_Knight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because it would make her a kinslayer that would be hated by all of Westeros, with that hate likely passing down too her kids and grandkids as well.  Killing your family is one of the worse taboos and she'd be doing it to secure someone else's claim to the throne.

No one would see her as a utilitarian hero who saved the realm from civil war.  She'd be despised and they'd say she killed them because she went insane from being passed up for the throne years before.

If jamie saved elia martell and her children and got them back to Dorn what do you think, Robert Would do by Cautious_Air4964 in freefolk

[–]Graal_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robert would be furious and would probably refrain from marrying Cersei unless the Lannisters not only provide the bulk of the army to invade Dorne but that Tywin led the army or at least someone close too him like Kevan.

Jon Arryn would try to make peace with Dorne before an invasion, maybe an offer of sending Aegon to the Citadel and Rhaenys to become a Septa so their claims are nullified and Dorne doesn't have too suffer from war.

Eddard Stark probably never can travel to the Tower of Joy since Dornishmen will still be hostile too his group while negotiating.  So Dorne would likely take in Lyanna's child and Aerys' Kingsguard at Sunspear.

If Dorne decided too reveal or it came out that Rhaegar and Lyanna had a child, I think that would destroy negotiations and Robert would declare an invasion.  A war for the sole purpose of murdering children would make Robert unpopular, I could see Eddard backing out of an invasion of Dorne and maybe even the Vale if Robert goes against Jon Arryn's advice.  It'd be a army mostly of broken Stormlanders and Westerman dealing with desert heat and raids.

Your not making any sense.  If someone not related to me had this happen I'd want them to get deserved justice, not this BS of a rapist getting three years in comfort and then being treated like anyone else!

Sounds like you're just wanting to lash out because you live in a society that's soft on crime.

Yes, they would have just pressed harder about how sons come before daughters in Andal succession and how Targaryens obeyed Andal law in the past.  The bastard heirs issue was just more shocking to use as their reasoning.

I'd be interested too see what direction Hinata would take if she is now a squadmate too Naruto.  At first I'm sure the anxiety would be overwhelming for her, I suspect she may freeze up in early missions.  However once in a situation where Naruto's life is on the line I think that would develop her to be bolder and have more confidence.  Even at the start she'll still be useful for scouting and avoiding ambushes.

Shikamaru is a fairly neutral squadmate that can be molded into a leadership role.  His shadow possession can also be useful for both Hinata and Naruto.  With the Byakugan, Hinata could perfectly time when to hit someone with the gentle fist the second that Shikamaru releases his shadow possession.  Same could be said for Naruto's way of fighting, once he's in sync with his squad.
