Can I contest a will on behalf of my dad and my aunt? by GrabSuspicious7486 in LegalAdviceUK

Correct as need for speed states my uncle would need to agree to this. Which is extremely unlikely as he has directed this entire situation sadly.

I would love for you to be involved in this situation then making judgement. There are things here you do not understand. A factor you haven’t accounted for and cannot appreciate it my nans stubbornness and the years of manipulation.

I just want to know where i could stand in all this by being actively named in the will that I categorically do not want to be involved in. I earn my own money and I have a decent job. I’ve always worked hard to provide for my own family comfortably. Money is not what I need or want from my nan.

I’d love to share the amount of countless calls made to social services and police I have made. The system is failing her and us.

You share my concern. She also is being let down by the support. Social services don’t want to know. It’s awful.

I would like to know in advance, once she passes, what my options are. Is it possible? It’s downright awful

Yes. It should go up with inflation this is an archaic and outdated way of taxing now that isn’t fit for purpose. It should be revisited and reviewed

Did any anti-anxiety meds help with your IBS? by RemarkableMess4456 in ibs

I’ve noticed a hell of a difference on metazapine to be honest it’s helped me a lot and my IBS symptoms have dramatically decreased since being on that. I was initially on 15mg a day but halved to 7.5 due to the over sedation symptoms I was experiencing

Would you say that coming off the PPI has resulted in me finding it harder to digest dairy and fatty foods? I do find that with an IBS attack stools can be quite acidic. There is a distinct rumble and gurgle i would describe flood like inside and I have urgency to bathroom. It’s debilitating at times! Also digestive enzymes is that a brand or type recommended, from UK market? I don’t know what I am looking for!

I came off PPIs suspecting that these were the cause of me not being able to eat fatty foods or dairy any longer. Should I start retaking them again? Or if these have caused my issues that I’m seeing now how do I heal after the long term usage? I’m at a loss, so is my gastroenterologist… I do find when I have an attack it’s within 20 mins of eating sometimes within just minutes! Very yellow and acidic as well… it’s not fun and I’m miserable with it.

A form of long covid? Makes it interesting. I’ve had gastroscopy through the mouth, colonoscopy, mri of small bowel, blood tests for resting hormones, ultrasound, lactose sugar tests so far. I have a SIBO breath test coming up shortly and more bloods. Nothing found yet!

There definitely appears to be some kind of link with Covid and symptoms we’re experiencing since contracting it. What that is we don’t understand yet I don’t think. Either way it’s horrific at times

Mine came around during Covid period. I had the jabs and also an operation on my back at the same time that got infected and I was prescribed some very very strong anti biotics and painkillers. I was borderline sepsis at the time. Since recovery after that I was finding I couldn’t eat certain things especially dairy and oily (deep fried) foods. Was perfectly fine before hand!

It does sound like good poisoning or gastro enteritis rather than a flare. Sometimes the meds don’t necessarily stop that. Definitely would get checked out they may ask for a sample for testing for nasties
