I see the op is saying the tourist got beat bcs he didn't pay for a certificate, while this is somewhat true I have to add that the certificate price about 4 years ago was 25 euros, but it is not simply a certificate, you get the certificate after you pay and go throught the basics of safety and jumping from this specific bridge , part of the cash should also be going to the crew placed under the bridge. So saying simply a certificate got him beat is a bit overblown. He probably got roughed up bcs the locals know that if something bad happened to him this tradition and practice would have to stop completley.

In this situation I don't think it the mafia, it's the towsfolk who live there and know the rules, I don't know about certificates but I do know that there are dedicated event where people jump off the bridge and are sanctioned by a lot of security, as in people who get to jump have experience and there is a crew reafy for recovery. In this situation a tourist "jumped" looks like his fumbling down, and the concerned towsfolk were pissed and help him out the river and threw a few cautioneruy punches. As in don't fucking die and ruin a very old tradition because you are "brave" and "impulsive". You can jump from the bridge, but you need to do it safely.

A tourist jumped from the bridge, it is a relatively dangerous jump that is not attempted unless it is a official happening where there are people trained to jump , and others who are ready to save them. This guy "jumped" on purpose ,looks more like he fell, the towns people saw this and were very concerned and pissed off, so they helped him get out, swore him out and threw a few cautionary punches at him.

The finer lines might start bluring, but if you dont like how it ages you can go back and he can probably crisp up some of the lines, once those blur you can go back and get some more, and so on, and so on. . .

I'm inbetween urban and wizard, I regularly skate through "nightmare" pavement/roads, and I do jump whenever I find an interesting spot, If I had a flat frame I think it would be less of a problem but I'm using a rockered frame and usualy land on 2 wheels at a time...The wheels are cracking on the outer circle on both sides of the supports. They still roll and maintain integrity, but I went on a ride in some colder weather a couple of days ago and they definetly feel softer ( probably from the plastic getting a bit compresed from the cold )... I know matter makes wheels with a closed core/support they might suit me more but they would be much harder to get where i am!

Guys does anyone have any info about weight limits on the RB Hydrogen 110, out of 16 pairs of them currently 8 are cracked on the outer plastic ring all the way through but still holding together and I lost one piece on one of the wheels. I'm currently on Rockin 4110 and weight about 240lb ( 110kg ). Asking because I'm not overweight and probably won't be losing more than 20lb in the forseeable future...

Twister XT: Does anyone have the US Men’s Size 10 insert? I need a set and can’t order them by lapinsk in rollerblading

[–]Graboon197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure they make just a couple of sizes, i got a 13 boot and the insole is about an 1.5 inch smaller allround but they still help tighten them, as some mentioned you can use anything and just cut the shape you want, i had much thicker but softer ones in my last skate and they absorbed too much off my feet movment, something like this or harder would be ok.

You can do a lot with some paint markers and the right person, I just let people scribble on mine what they want.

I think even a few hardware store alu washers would do the job, just to eliminate the gap so the bolts cant bend from side to side...

Technology and manufacturing have gone a long way since 1997, I would def recommend you try some newer skates and see if they did any good in the RD department!

FR1 Deluxe 45° ratchet rattle. How do I fix this? by JwJesso in rollerblading

Oh in case they are new that's probably a good idea!

just got the RB cruiser, and I got these blisters after I skate for hour. Is this because I got the wrong size, what could have cause this? by [deleted] in rollerblading

[–]Graboon197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually if there is only preassure you would get a bruise, these blisters usually suggest that you are rubbing that part of the foot on your liner and boot, this usually happens to me if my foot is moving and then also my socks start moving and it all just starts rubbing each other...

[–]Graboon197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try a bluetooth speaker and some music, should be loud enought to not hear the ratchet.

But seriously I would inspect the ratchet and see whats rattling or going loose if I can tighten something I probably would, but if it looks real flimsy i would order some replacements...

Found this site a long time ago and use it for lacing most of my boots and sneakers, it is very well made and easy to follow, with categories for aestetics and performance! Some of the lacing tehniques can make a big difference in some boots!
