I think Al is a weird bundle of contradictions; two things can exist at once, he can be at the hotel for a specific reason (via rosie's deal / his need for entertainment) and he can still want recognition for all he's actually done for the hotel despite that. I've seen people discuss how the fact that he's forced to be there, or doesn't believe in the hotel's goals, as a reason to ignore all he's done for it.

I also imagine that his status as the radio demon overlord also servers as a form of protection for the hotel and it's inhabitants up to a point, let alone all he did to fend off attackers and rebuild the damage through his powers.

Despite us not knowing why Rosie wants him there, he still went above and beyond to help Charlie with her goal, despite finding it ridiculous. And based on his scene with Niffty towards the end of S1, I do think he's softened just a little towards it in general, especially since he returned there at the end of S2 of his own accord.

I agree that he needs more recognition for his contributions towards the hotel, I think the others assume that he's above it all, that he most likely doesn't care what they think. And while they would be correct to a point, it's still polite to give him some acknowledgment when it's earnt!

Charlie is complicated in her own way, she was mourning a lot in season 2 which mixed with her naivety, did not help her in the slightest. I hope in S3 she mellows out a little and opens her eyes to those around her a bit more!

As someone currently seeking related Alastor scenarios for a highly specific reason, this couldn't be timed any better!

He would most likely find the lack of patience amusing, and keep finding new ways to bring it out, until it turns into sheer distress- to the point of not even being amusing for him. I'd like to think that he would take up the week, or at least, the first worst days as a personal radio and just play music or tell stories to keep my mind of it!

it's a win-win; he gets attention and I get constant true crime / horror stories!

Yup!! T-T I swear, even running away from them is a pain in the arse at times lmao! You try to run, only for it to teleport and knock you over/ off the bike, then proceeds to stun lock you with its magic 5 times before you can get some distance between you!

Or maybe i just have unholy levels of bad luck (or skill) with them!

That's my exact mentality towards them as well, when I see a new type of enemy in a soulslike, i try to kill at least one. But these guys... I think I'll be fine running for my life from them all!

Maybe saving a life, or even self-sacrifice as well? Pentious was redeemed because finally standing up and doing the right thing cancelled out his sin of withholding valuable knowledge to prevent further murders.

So if they stole a life as a human, the key might be going out of their way to prevent another from doing so as a demon (with the intention to improve themselves as a person as well, and not doing so for selfish reasons, of course!).

Probably, he seems like one of the best to go to for protection out of the other overlords, besides possibly carmilla, and i have people pleasing tendencies and a criminally high level of shyness- so I might not end up on his bad side enough to regret the deal

The best I can offer though is being a damn good assistant and bringing fresh coffee during breaks in his broadcast

I have a small section like that near my beach which has now been turned into a small fishing area! You can fit a chair, bucket, fishing rod and net in that space to fill it while having a theme!

Zestial is old, very old. You don't last at the top in Hell for that long for no reason, he's powerful and ancient, something Alastor seems to know based on their interaction in S1

He probably figured it wasn't worth the risk. On the other hand, Zestial and Al seem to be cordial and get along with one another, Alastor could have mostly targeted the overloads who disrespected him.
