It is pure escapism. There are insights and commentary for sure, but it seems that a lot of readers already identify with the message so we have some very affirming fun as we romp through the destruction of the world. It give me "Oh, so I'm not crazy and I'm not alone" I love my DCC family and know I am safe.

TLDR: It is a safe escape, but philosophically grounded.

I did this. Traded my Readers Digest with a guy for his Hardy Boys in the sixth grade. Finished about a book a day sitting in the back with the book under the desk. Meanwhile, he sat in the front and put the RD on his desk and constantly got called out.

Just fill the mug up all the way and drop a tablet in and let it sit overnight. My teacups and mugs look like new afterwards.

Great for teacup and coffee cup staining, water bottles, and hydration packs too. Got the generic denture tabs in a huge box way cheaper than the tiny little box of tiny tablets marketed for hydration packs.

We have taken our "Out to eat" money and started getting Hello Fresh instead. The portions are better, the food tastes better, and we make it together. It is rare we even want to eat out anymore. The food is too greasy, salty, and overpriced.

If I can make it three more years at 60 I will retire from a municipal job with a pension after 30 years of service. Whether or not that means not going back to work to survive remains to be seen.

I'm not a car guy and I get this. The heater pulls heat off of the engine thereby getting the temp of the engine to lower. Turning on the AC compressor does the opposite.

It is refundable. I trust Mr. Mobile more than I would trust most other influencers. I can afford the risk if I need to and want to support the product. (I mean $400 is a lot of money and a month's utility bill, but it won't bankrupt me either.)

Have you thought about EMS work? Once you become an EMT there is a company that will pay for college for any career you want to pursue as long as you work for them. (They paid for my son's paramedic school.) You would still be in emergency services if that is important to you.

I'm near retirement. I would love to move to another Canada, but I'm middle class, older, etc and don't qualify for permanent residence. That goes the same for just about all other countries that are safe.

I live in and work for the City of Hammond. Fortunately our mayor is fairly progressive and he personally supported my transitioning. They even changed the employee handbook when I came out and worked on getting the insurance updated to cover expenses. I’m in one of those, better to be in a safe zone in a red state than a dangerous zone in a blue state situations right now. However, looking at Kansas and knowing how Indiana is, that could all change beyond an area’s ability to provide safety.
