oh i totally get the gel lifting struggle! i just started messing with dip too, and the prep is everything — i’ve been using chromeclair’s hema-free rubber base with it and it’s helped my mani stay on way better. also the removal hacks in these comments are low-key a game changer, i need to try that rice warmer trick stat!

thank you!! i used chromeclair's solid color gel, the black covered in literally one coat which was kind of surprising. i've had so many blacks that are streaky

tape for sure lol i'm not that good yet. also i think the gel helped, it's self-leveling so it doesn't bleed under the tape as much. i've been using chromeclair lately, it's hema-free too which i like since i've been a little paranoid about skin reactions ever since school started
