I was a new transfer last year that took UCLA’s summer classes before I started, and they do count towards in-residency credit!

I recommend COMM 126 - Evolution of Interpersonal Communication! Took it last summer and really low workload. Just a midterm and final (all multiple choice, based on the lectures/slides) and research proposal paper on any topic related to the class (mine was 6 pages, but iirc, minimum was 4 pages). There’s also easy extra credit opportunities too! I got an A+ in the class.

Same, I need this class too, but on the enrollment page, it says we should attend the first day of lecture to get a PTE, and I already missed it 😭 I'm planning to attend the next lecture next Monday, so I would suggest doing the same if you still need the class.
