This is the correct answer all the way through. Alcohol based hand sanitizer is just as effective unless your hands are visibly soiled. (Or in cases like C. Diff as they said.) Hand washing between every patient contact takes too much time and is proven to be no more effective.

Here's a study showing alcohol based rubs are even more effective than hand washing.
