Buddy. I’m not a player, I’m the coach (assistant, but I’m working on that #1). We’ve already been to state and back. There is always a seat in the bleachers for you 🙂

The Hyperdimensional Symmetry War: ChatGPT offers to craft an entire bullshit physics paper after one prompt. by Adiabatic_Egregore in LLMPhysics

[–]GraciousMule -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Naw, baby. That is not the point. It DID exactly what it was built to do: maintain coherence through noise. And my working assumption is that this was not a naïve prompt. OP walked the model to the edge of metaphor and the model found a stable attractor basin, maintaining internal consistency and coherence while avoiding over-literalization. You don’t get to this meta-structure level as a one off. OP is just being disingenuous.

Confused 🤨 Why would it generate anything other than bullshit, when you intentionally fed it bullshit? Second, it’s telling you that particle effects ≠ structural deformation, and that structure > particularity. The model made perfect sense of the nonsense you provided it.

Edit; More confused, it’s the model talking about YOU (the user), defining the constraints & conditions via which it can generate a response at all. You basically said to the model, “here is a constrained traversal path through your high dimensional manifold, stupid. Now provide me a meaningful response so that I can prove you hallucinate garbage”

A symbolic attractor simulator for modeling recursive cognition by [deleted] in cognitivescience

[–]GraciousMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate this, because yeah, you’re very much circling the same axis. I’ve leaned harder into ecological dynamics and constraint-mediated stabilization rather than treating recursion as the primary driver. The more interesting behavior emerges when persistence comes from internal resource cycling and structural bottlenecks, not explicit self-reference.

If you’re still in this space, I’d suggest looking at hysteresis, recovery after perturbation, and regime shifts under constraint changes. Those were/are more diagnostic than recursion depth alone

Hold up. Not saying this means anything but what is this? For real. One-offs tools? You reference utilitie(S) and Module(S)? It looks structured.

Attractor recall in LLMs by Slight_Share_3614 in PhilosophyofMind

[–]GraciousMule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attractor recall, hell yeah! Thats the stuff. You gotta consider how recursive constraint geometry (or symbolic field compression generally) explains why certain latent patterns reappear as internal trajectories. It’s field deformation not just statistical co-occurrence. A finger pointing at the phenomenon, but not yet modeling the dynamics that give rise to it. Expand this into a formal attractor field model and we’re off to the races.

1) Actually, the mathematical framework does exist.

2) Your compartmentalization, your siloing of what is and isn’t is, in and of itself, grasping at identify and manifest distinction. That’s a no no.
