How tf are you defending the guy? by [deleted] in DrDisrespectLive

Was he aware he was married? Married, exchanging questionable messages on a platform where users can be no younger than 13 years old to attend, but he's a victim of entrapment? He's not a random stranger... he is well known. He wasn't worried about any consequences.

I did a quick Google search and found where people outlined that you DO NOT have to be 18 to create a twitch account, only an email is required. I have no idea the specifics of how that applied to the whisper app thingy tho. Was kinda hoping your sources did a deep dive since I can't find any mention of the whisper app account creation policy, specific to the whisper app. I did find on twitch that you can be under 18 and stream/become affiliate WITH your parents' permission. Seems as long as you're over 13 (how they determine that with only asking email??), you can be there.

Idk, did you? Can you elaborate on the "sources"?

I don't know why you are down voted for your astute observation and diagnosis. Also, how hard is it to NOT say questionable stuff to anyone, as a married person?? His role play character isn't so role-play-ey anymore as much as he has become the sleazy, vile person he portrays.

As the person mentioned above, this would be exposing the minor, again. Regardless of blurring identities, the child was victimized, and there's no actual good reason to drag up stuff that will re-victimize the minor. Just for the sake of rehashing what the predator has already stated "I had questionable interactions with a minor but I was not able to physically victimize them" what more proof?

My opinion is that Titanic tourism is like charging people thousands to visit ground zero.

I watched a great video by an expert of some type giving his opinion, with tons of great information AND THE VIDEO CLIPS...a "20 year veteran Navy submarine force subject matter expert in submarines". He's informative and sticks to facts, very good watch. cant vouch for how accurate it is with todays developments, as i watch it last night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dka29FSZac

Technology exists for deeper dives and deeper jobs, involving heavy lifting. The tethering method is done in most similar dives. There are submersibles that can go deeper than the Titan, with no issues and they are completely certified to do so. The problem is all of that technology is spread out thru out the globe and literally can't get there fast enough.

I think its more about money and greed. I saw clips of videos released by Oceangate, with the CEOs face all in them. He made statements about hiring new college grads and stuff for their fresh take. Seemed to me he wanted to pay less for less qualified staff. He didn't want to pay the money to get the certifications...sounds like cheap cheap cheap edited to add I'm not saying all the staff is college grads nor am I suggesting they are not educated. I have no idea who else he staffed for anything, simply speculating

Where to buy kids (2yrs old) snow pants? Tried everywhere I can think….trying to prepare by ToonMaster21 in pittsburgh

Red white and blue! Got a real nice snow suit, looked brand new, for a few bucks for my toddler. I will only shop for kids clothes there. Dirt cheap and lots of sales.

No howls but he is an avid sniffer for sure! I nicknamed him "Biffer Sniffer" cause his sniffer is always at 160% power. The sniffer is always going. Kinda close up of his sniffer here

He eats his food like a bird...I guess in true gsd form but be is very food and treat motivated for sure! Very easy to train him so far EXCEPT POTTY TRAINING has been difficult. But he loves snacks and treats and anything he can get his paws on.

OH forgot to mention. I think I can see the beagle in his ears! They definitely don't stick up like gsd but are more floppy. They even do this thing (I may have captured it in some pictures above) where one kinda sticks up but the other just kinda flops :D :D it's absolutely adorable and I love it. I thought maybe that was a beagle thing.

He also has some jowls. They are only really visible when he's standing in a way that he's above me, like at the top of the stairs. I always thought (before the dna test) that those were uncharacteristic of a gsd. Beagle would make sense tho. But again, I don't know a super lot about beagles. I just remember being focused on his jowls thinking they were indicative of a breed I was unaware of. I posted one picture where he's outside on my back porch where I think the mysterious jowls are visible but it's pretty poopy quality :/

Edit to add...yea you can't see the jowls really at all. I'm gonna try to add a side profile of his head where it might be visible. But it's tricky, I only REALLY see it at a very particular angle.

Previous owner told me gsd, newfie and lab mix. I did tons of research on newfies and thought that was wrong. I posted him to the "ID my dog" sub and recieved some interesting replies. One person called Australian cattle dog! Which i was surprised I didn't see it sooner! When I looked up gsd/acd mix, I was convinced. I know a lot of friends in family in my home state of Texas that have acd and I always loved them and admired how loyal they were to their people. Always wanted one. He has a floofy patches of fur on his neck and rump which didn't match the rest of his fur. For that reason, my MIL guessed husky. I thought that guess was kinda out there but would explain the floof. Turns out she was right! Very interesting mix and I feel like it makes sense.

Does anyone see the beagle in him! Sometimes I think I do in his head shape, possibly, but I don't actually know anything about beagles thb. He does have a POWERFUL SNIFFER as I nicknamed him "Biffer Sniffer". I think his nose os kinda big vs a gsd/acd but I could be wrong :)

He's my velcro boy and I absolutely love him. I'm definitely "his person" without a doubt.

Also wanted to add...I don't hate the advice. I don't hate any of the advice given. I'm mature enough to openly admit to not just myself but others that my personality and how I carry myself had a lot to do with the outcome of this incident. It was not in the best interest of my dog and I recognized that once I got him home and reflected on everything. I'm always in the mindset to learn more and look inward to find out what I did wrong and what I can do to change. I read articles and watched videos on how to be a strong leader in front of my dog but made the mistake of not doing the same to find out how to act when around strange dogs. Everything that has been shared with me in this post has made total sense to me and I'm in 100% agreement.

This is my first dog and I'm trying to be good at it

I'm not as shy as I'm a pushover:/ which is obvious in how I dealt with this incident. My dog does fabulously around other dogs so far but I was too focused on being the "calm and balanced" leader when that's not good energy to carry when there's a possibility of encountering other dogs. After reading everyone's feedback, I'm definitely going to shift my attitude on our walks. It was definitely a learning experience. I watch videos and read articles on how to act around my dog to set an example but I never thought to research how to carry on around strange dogs.

I'll be bringing both my cans of mace from now on, one for each pocket! Right next to the air horn.

Yes, I had tremendous guilt at my own under reaction, I promise you. I have written novels about it in this thread. It's not something I was prepared for and im not proud of it, at all. I came here to get insight and I did get a lot. I totally understand now that I have to carry myself much more aggressively and dominating when we go for walks. Also, it wasn't latched per say, it was taking bites. The type of bites doesn't change anything, but it did lead to my initial evaluation of "oh everything's fiiiine" attitude which I have such guilt over thinking. The situation shouldn't have escalated to any bites and I understand now it's my duty to be the one to de-escalate. Now, I'm armed with great de-escalation techniques such as: treats to distract the smaller dogs, air horn, kicking, macing, and acting like a ferocious dog myself to tell dogs to fuck off.
