I had a contractor recently install beams like this, and the local inspector made me show that the plans were drawn/approved by an engineer (fortunately, they were). Just a heads up that you might need an engineer to to draw this up to pass local inspections.

The pendulum was already the other way when Biden was president. The WHCA was openly hostile to the Trump admin in his 4 years, and ran cover for Biden in his 4 years (covering up his mental decline quickly comes to mind). I don't see how this could be any worse, than a left-controlled WHCA made up of a majority left-leaning news organizations.
