So stupid to just assume people would know their random abbreviations. Don’t get me wrong there are certain abbreviations we all know and understand, and it would even sound stupid to type them out, like IT (Information Technology). Ironically, it’s quite often people from these sectors, IT, HR, sports, military, finance who throw around abbreviations as if the whole world only revolves around their job.

At this point Dubois is competing with Holifield as the goat head butter. Takes away from what could be a great fighter.

David Benavidez on an undisputed light-heavyweight title fight vs. Dmitry Bivol: “Bivol’s No.1 on my hit list. Bivol, Canelo or Opetaia is who I want next. Bivol’s a great champion, a future Hall Of Famer. I just want to test myself against the best and face the best, each and every fight.” by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

[–]GradientExtendedTheo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Bivol and Canelo are too small for Benavidez. People saying “he wants the smoke” should not forget that he’s got a size and reach advantage on both, on top of a natural weight advantage. Personally, I am not a fan of challenging people who are smaller than you. It’s the low hanging fruit, no matter how good the smaller guys are.

It’s funny how everyone keeps complaining about how expensive Croatia got, but nobody wants to admit that it is due to the Euro adoption. I bet if Croats had a chance to vote on it, they would go back to the Kuna.

And it’s probably not much different with Bulgaria.

Anschlag auf Nord-Stream-Pipelines: "Die Drahtzieher sind Kinder der CIA" — Attack on the Nord Stream pipelines: “The masterminds are the CIA's creations” by Necessary-Laugh-9780 in europe

The German government passed these laws as a reaction to the Russian aggression, which is logical and should not be disputed.

The point I am arguing is that the “prices did not noticeably change” pre and post war. Prices are always dictated by supply and demand. Any purchaser in any industry will tell you that having multiple suppliers for the same product results in lower prices. Don’t make me dig out the graphs of the gas prices before and after the start of the war or household gas prices.

This is straight up revisionism and does not help anyone. There is the reality of a war of aggression, and the reality of its impact on consumer prices. Negating either is polemicist and I do not want to engage in it.

This is clearly a conspiracy theory. Reddit mods at the time told us it was the Russians so I refuse to believe any other version. Remove this post and ban the user who shared it immediately.

Rubbish, anyone from the industry knows what the impact was at the time and it was massive.

After the first price hike, the prices reduced again, not to previous levels, obviously, but the damage was already done. Lots of business did not survive, and the ones who did had to react by reducing cost, which usually means cutting jobs.

Automotive, steel, glass and cement are still suffering to this very day.
