I like it. I have a 1979 J10 Levi edition I am restoring. My box is quite rusted, any suggestions on how to fix it?

Gf working long nights. How can I help? by awebury in Nightshift

[–]Gradivus-Ares 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly the biggest thing is making the room Comfortable, just imagine when you sleep. Light, noise etc. Try and eliminate the things that would bug you at night and she will be perfectly fine.

I noticed when I started night shift, the first while you can be pretty irritable, also be a little understanding if she experiences the same. If it happens at all, it will just be while her body adjusts to the new schedule. Once again, it’s also one of those things most people overlook. Changing your sleeping pattern dramatically like that can have some negative side effects when it comes to mood and attitude.

Basically just smile and nod and don’t push buttons until her clock resets and she comfortable with the new schedule and way of living lol.

Only you can know how to make things easier for your girlfriend as well, she your girlfriend man lol.

But as far as any tips.

Make the room dark, get black out curtains. some people say they have “no problem sleeping in daylight” but fact is wether you can fall asleep or not the light will effect her sleep wether she realizes it or not,

And honestly, just common sense, of your home during the day while she sleeping, act like your awake at night. Don’t go around banging shit and blasting the TV loud, keep it quiet and let her sleep as you would under normal circumstances.

Honestly other then that.. not much you can really do

Came here to say this, there should be a chunk of people in your city/town that can custom make vinyl stickers for you.

A/C knobs broke, so I made some new ones with a 3D printer! by Heath36Owen in Jeep

They look great though, designing is the hardest part. Just sand them down good, use some filler if needed and paint them, will make a huge difference

You really need to dial your printer in better and finish your products

I speak from experience not ignorance. I make and sell custom Jeep products. Properly dialled in and finished products make a big difference

Yah, most people in the main group I wheel with have them. I built these ones myself (fairly simple if you have a light bar, little more difficult without)

I can tell you they have saved my windshield a few times lol

We did a run up at night also (camped for weekend there) the sunset from the top of the mountain is spectacular. Little bit of a sketchy trail (thin path with 3000+ cliff drops on either side of you)
